Sad that your player remains on that team.

Have a starting player near lvl 50 in a 34 capped league and steam starts spewing from my ears. There's no way someone has players on their team THAT far above the cap and is looking for fair competition. To me that screams playground bully, and I don't like it.

I agree, but having players that are low lvl 40s in a 34 cap isn't bad, one or two players on a team isn't going to do much, because it depends who they have around them and who they're up against. If people build their players smart they can have better stats at level 34 than a level 42 who tried a few things and screwed up some of their stats. It also depends on what their tactics are set at, and what the team tactics are. If you watch enough gameplay and set your tactics around the team you are playing it shouldn't matter. The one team I'm on right now had strong players for our levels, and we got crushed by lower level teams because of our tactics and our builds.

True, but it's not really about their build or how well they perform during the season, it's that people manipulate their system in order to get those players in to begin with that bothers me. It may turn out that having a particular high lvl doesn't make that big a difference, but they obviously thought it would else owners wouldn't plan to remove the majority of their at-cap players, and go with a team of 4-5 high high levels and a bunch of level 1s when the capped leagues were being set then within a week after deadline they're back to a full team of at-cappers along with the high lvls and suddenly the poor lvl 1s get released (I guess we're all supposed to be too dumb to see what they're doing).. Whether teams that have done that win championships or whether they have crap strategies and lose all their games doesn't matter to me, I just think it's pretty cheap tactics.

Well I get first shot so Ill throw 20 your way. Doubt you get a PD or INT. Might get whiplash though when you see my guy blow by ya.

Please throw 20 his way. We could use some pick 6s in the game.

Here's my take on this whole situation.

most people were confused when he posted something that said if you have all CPUs and one player that is 37 don't ask for a 20 something cap because your cap is 37. They thought that he was saying your highest player will determine your cap, but he was really saying that CPU players don't count into the calculations.

He then later clarified that it would be a median calculation with the top 25% of your roster. Our team only had two players over the cap, a 37 and 44. We had plans on bringing the 44 before the whole shuffle situation.

Teams that made trades, or cut people off their roster to get everyone below the caps are just idiots imo. Your mad because you didn't read how the shuffle was going to be done, and now you want teams that are smart and understand rules to be punished.

Stop being a cry baby and freaking get over it. We were going to easily win our conference this year in BBB #2(if the shuffle didn't happen) and now we are probably going to be middle of the pack. So the shuffle screwed us too, but we're going to take it like a man and play the games. We're not going to cry like bitches because some teams are a couple or so levels higher than us.

Get over yourselves and play the game. Next time read bort's messages a little more clearly.

I doubt seriously Bort planned for and wanted people to get their calculators out and recruit as many lvl 1s as it would take to get their top 25% under a specific cap. Obviously a level 34 capped league is meant for players at least around level 34 when the season begins. And it should be just as obvious that a player roughly 30% higher in level (which means he has 30% more skill points invested in that player) sticks out like a sore thumb in capped leagues where most everyone is the same level. I'm not talking about teams that just happen to have a high level player and get in, i'm talking about teams who plot and scheme to get as many high level players as possible. You see this in just about any game you play really, players exploit glitches in code, or in this case manipulate the parameters of the code in the hopes of giving themselves an advantage against other players. It's also common for those people to claim that it's not "cheating" or "expoiting" that they're doing, they're just good players. Truth is, if you were so confident that your builds and game planning was superior then why are you scheming to tip the scales in your favor with levels? It's also usually the same people who have multiple players 10+ levels over the cap on their team that are the ones claiming that levels don't matter that it's all in the build. If your build was so hot, then why are you here playing against dudes 15 levels lower than you? I'd think if you were that good you'd want to beat players your own size.

Nobody's crying about it, I started this post to point out how retarded some people are over games, and so far you've proved my point. I can't believe people actually try to argue that having players 13 levels above the cap in a capped league is fair and actually taunt owners who didn't try to cheat the system too. To people like this exploiting equals "skill", they pride themselves over exploiting better than the next guy. I've said before and i'll say it again, I think that attitude stinks. I'm not crying about it, chances are your team sucks anyways, i'd just prefer playing with people who have a little more class.

I think most people knew that they could manipulate the system and sneak higher level players in, but some actually embraced the idea of a league full of like leveled players where strategy would be the deciding factor in wins and losses. Unfortunately, there were also dweebs who see a lvl cap and think "dee hee, I r getting my lvl 90 herr and we has the wins!". The funny thing about it, most of the teams that have done this have serious holes along their roster playing players out of position and signing others based on level without regard to how their build fits into their strategy, mainly because their strategy is to have their high lvl players win the game single-handedly, that they're really not going to be much ahead of teams that operated within the cap..

Well i didn't make any moves different because of the shuffle fujicrow. But once again you show you ignorance to the shuffle rules.

you would have to get a significant # of level 1 players to get your top 25 % adjusted. Personally I think you need to learn math. I have a problem with people bitching when they don't understand what they are bitching about.

Either way I don't see any of the teams that are the issue winning the title this year.

Well, seeing as I saw 14 lvl 1s on one team, I don't think quantity was much a problem, also as stated some teams temporarilly gutted themselves pretty much except for the high lvls and the lvl 1s. I've seen many teams do it, a couple in this league even though I haven't named any names. As for math, what math did I try to do that was off?.

I don't even know what you're talking about now, ignorant of shuffle rules, in what way? Because you say you didn't make moves for the shuffle? I never said you did. I was speaking in general about pricks who do this, that's what this thread was about as i've said many times. You come here bragging about how your lvl 47 safety is going to tear it up in this league, on a thread about the retardation of players who feel the need to play against lower levels. Maybe he will maybe he won't, but it would be about the same as I sneaked my HB in a lvl 21 capped league and posted on the boards how I was so uberly awesome and no one could stop me.

Or did you think that because you have a lvl 47 player on your team this thread was about you? You might want to look around, your guy isn't the only one.

When did I come on here bragging about my level 47 player, and no I don't think this thread is directed at me at all. I came on here because people like you make crying threads about things they don't understand. You don't get how the shuffle was done so your pissed, I get it, but stop crying. Its embarrassing really.

Bort already said he is and will continue to look for teams that tried cheating really bad. Are you just upset because your RB isn't going to tear it up this year. He won't be playing 10 gutted teams and get a billion yards. I mean damn, why do u care so much, you don't even own a team. Your RB isn't even a starter.

I'm an owner, and I'm not crying. O btw, please show me where I said that "my 47 safety is going to tear it up." My FS came on here and someone said they were going to throw 20 times his way, and I said "please do so, we could use some pick 6s." But to you thats coming on here and bragging about my 47 FS.lmao

Not only are u a baby, but your a liar too.

That's not boasting? And you're not crying? This thread was made about high lvl players sneaking into lower capped leagues and the owners who sneak them in, you came here posting about how great your lvl 47 FS is on your team, the only reason someone would do that is to troll.

I know exactly how the shuffle was done, and I know exactly how some owners got around it. When I was a free agent, an owner from a team trying to get into a lvl 24 capped league offered me a contract and in PMs explained why i'd be on a team with a bunch of lvl 1s and to not get worried because as soon as the deadline passed he was bringing his full team back. And when I browse through teams in various capped leagues, and this one, and see teams just after the deadline with 10-15 lvl 1s on the roster, it's pretty easy to guess what they were doing on there.

So the only players who get anything out of this game are owners? Besides, i've said all along that my problem isn't with anyone's production, it's with the people who went out of their way to cheat the system and the attitude that represents. You claim you had nothing to do with that, so obviously none of my points are directed at you, yet you still get deeply offended by them. Feeling guilty for something are we?

lol, so defending my CB when someone says that he won't get a PD or int when they throw his way, is coming on here and boasting... I'm starting to understand your skewed logic now.

Last post for me, because your only argument is I feel guilty because I think your an idiot. But you say in your initial post in this thread that the point of it is to elminate high players playing some low players. I highly disagree. The reason this shuffle was done was to give the A leagues less gutted competition and also to make the playing level more even then it was in the BBB. There's not a person in GLB that can say the new BBB are not more competitive than their former BBB league.

Peace
