How much strength, how much blocking, how much vision do you need to make that block?

What do you guys think about quick cut helping the FB block better for his HB? --- LvL 28 Here... how far off am I from a decent build and what direction should I go? I only wanna help with the run, & passing blocking a bit, I could care less about being balanced for running + catching...

Quick Cut helps with both run and pass blocking. Especially if you are lacking Agility.

get blocking and agility to the next cap before any quick cut, but it can help a bit in lead blocking.

This is my FB last season when he had ~70 agility, 49 speed. He's blocking for a 90 speed, 60 agility half-back in these replays.

Agility seems to be very overlooked for fullbacks, which is a shame considering the level gains.
My AGI is currently 53 and is the stat I am currently working on, I've got some Vet points in there too, so with that it is higher. Seems like I am headed in the right direction at least.
Honestly though, my problems seem less about pure speed/agi/whatever as the FB "should" be plenty fast to hit the hole and make a block when he has a 5 yard head start on the HB, lol. A lot of time he just hesitates and dances around in the backfield while the HB takes off. I think maybe this is actually partly a problem related to the OLine and he thinks he needs to help make a block on a lineman. Is this a vision problem maybe? Either too low or even too high - he is soft capped and I've seen it suggested that lower vision FBs actually perform better since they just blindly plow ahead into the hole without worrying about the linemen.

At least when I am following along behind the HB, I can make plays like this o.0

Might be low confidence. Vision is less important to backs than confidence imo. Assuming agility isn't the problem.

Could be - confidence is 30 and I've been training that up the last half season or so.

I can't agree with that part. RBs are SUPPOSED to "blow by your FB"--your FBs job is to engage a blocker 3-5 steps after the snap. If he's quick enough to do that, its up to the RB to make his own way after the FB has engaged the first would-be tackler.
uh, pretty sure he means he blows by the FB behind the LOS. you can see it on the film of his HB.
Exactly. Even our power back routinely runs past our FB's before they actually engage any defenders.

You need high agility to pull off quick cut.

How high was his vision confidence here? I love the way he doesn't hesitate for a second.
