1) I would just like to say this isn't exactly like team gutting, because I am not exactly trying to improve a friends team. I just want to help a team win it all. Also, DD sent me an offer so this must be legal.
2) I am going to keep the team intact except for my 6 players, then I will sell the team.

P.S. I have gotten many offers. I will go over all of the messages that I have gotten tonight and I will announce my decision in the morning.

Cheers~

I hate to see teams fold.

Its gonna happen though...if people want to stay competitive some people are going to have to merge or join forces or whatever you want to call it.

Bro, the system should encourage brave underdogs to keep on fighting, like Texas is doing. If every underdog just folds and walks away, USA pro will become an private club for several teams to stomp on other all-cpu teams year in and year out. We will just watch 98 pancakes/game, 126:0, or 2 TD from an OG.

Anyway, without fighting underdogs as your opponents, what's the meaning to be a super power?

Only two 'bad' teams can be removed every season, but much more teams just give up and fold.
Several teams will become better and better, but the whole league will become worse and worse.

that is the easy fix for all this.. the best teams will continue to be in the top leagues year after year... and like i said i DO respect what texas did... even from their first two games to when they played us.. there was like a 30-35 point difference in the games but the simple fact is they may not be able to stay in the pro's i do wish though they somehow do pull out a way to stay cuz they do have heart

Well were not a pro team, were a BBB team only because thats where we got placed when the team was purchased..

Were 7-0, and pretty dominant.. I offered all of your players contracts, and I really think we will go 20-0 if you sign with us, and most likely go undefeated AGAIN in A next season..

I understand you wanted to go to a pro team, but I don't see the harm in offering your players contracts and maybe you'll take a look at our team and if you don't sign with us now.. maybe down the line you'll remember our squad and we could get you signed up later or maybe with just a new player..

Either way, your players and how good they are only shows me what type of commitment you have to this game and winning and thats the same attitude we have and are trying to fill our team with.

Hopefully, you at least give us a look

So...why exactly is this allowed?

This is allowed, because I did not gut the entire team. All I did was move the important players (my players) to another team. It is more like he signed my players than me trading all of the players to him. DD didn't say anything to me and he was even interested in the players.

Now I think that I should tell everyone that I merged with.....the Denver Globetrotters

See, this is where I disagree. I think I get the point--you want to not have the resposibility of running a team (yeah, its a lot of work) and move to a team where you can get the wins.

But look at the team you leave behind.

TWO offensive linemen, 1 of which is inactive and about to end his contract.

ONE DT. I have to assume that you had a second one until very recently.

Sounds like a gutted team to me. It does not meet the minimum team size requirement. It cannot even field a full offensive unit (even by numbers--there are 9 offensive players). I have to imagine that as soon as a new owner comes in, many of the current players will be so disgruntled that they ask to leave. AND you released all your own players and put them all on one team without any replacement for you formaer team.

Sorry, maybe it should not rile me up this much, but with the Gutting/Collusion thing being so big that Bort has to start a thread on how to start it, and that thread has over 800 posts, then yeah, this is a big deal.

This is the second big move like this in USA Pro. So far, no one in the general public has knowledge of any penalty from the first. And DD appearently endources this by making you an offer?

No wonder why many in the public feel some anymosity toward the Alpha testers.

As an owner, didn't you basically just release the 6 best players on your team, with the intent of abandoning the team entirely, leaving them without even enough players to fill the starting lineup?
