I went with 15 into Zone Specialist for my FS. (Almost always in Cover 1/2). Increasing Track Star as well now.

I went with 15 to Track Star and 5 to Clutch. I think zone specialist was a case of something being too good to be true so I decided against it.

I just put 5 in Show Boat. I'll let you know how that turns out

I put 15 in zone specialist and am really pumped about it. I'll get an advantage on reading run plays and getting in position before the game switches to "run mode", and i'll get a nice boost in spd/agi/vis while the QB is dropping back and while the ball is in the air getting my guy in great position to make a int, pd, or be right there to tackle as soon as the WR catches it.

Now i'm not sure what to spend the extra 6 on. I missed 1 tackle last year but may see how tough my new US AAA2 division is before seeing if i need Sure Tackle or not. Maybe go with Long Reach, Clutch or one of those attribute raising ones.

So a level 30 player with 10 in HoaC will get a +300 confidence? That doesn't seem right.

Add Showboat to the list of abilities that could potentially be good (only just started to look at the 'grey' ones)

I think its each point put into it. Meaning even though your say level 35, you get the points JUST put into HoaC. No multiplier or anything. So 10 points put into HoaC gives you +10 Confidence no matter what level you are.

At least that's my interpretation.

That is correct.

I'd like to take a second to point out that of all the position forums we had the best and most in depth discussion over the VAs. Thanks guys, a lot of good information was shared here.

Yea I still haven't seen a lot of feed back on VA's to how their working in game time, but for sure this is the most in depth of the three position talk forums I visit.

Don't know if anyone has referenced it yet or maybe I missed it, from the from "Veteran Abilities are..." forum.

As soon as that run play starts he will lose the bonuses. However, like Bort said, the FS should be able to see the play developing earlier. If you manage to read through all 40 pages of the topic they talk about what situations it works in regarding cover 1, cover 2 for SS and FS's. Just a quick FYI.

Any consensus on the SS? I have a level 42 and originally did 15 in jackhammer and 5 in power tackler. But, I'm worried that these are too variable given the unknown percentages. With the reset, would 10 in jackhammer and 10 in track star be a better idea? 10 in track star would give him over 6 SPs and put him in the mid 90s in speed.

Since my FS plays in zone about 95% of pass plays, I went ahead and put 15 points in Zone Specialist.

I have 8 points left and I am confused where to put it. Clutch intriques me.. But Long Reach and Football Genius sound damn good.

I did 15 in zone specialist and 6 in long reach. I'm thinking of getting long reach up to 10 and then investing my next 5 or 8 into clutch just to see what happens

I think I remember reading in the thread that bozwellington posted that Jackhammer does not cause fumbles - it counts as a PD when it works. That immediately put me off it.

I still like the look of zone specialist - maybe coupled with football genius and sure tackler.
