it is the only way.

...and make that 3 best teams: Nighthawks, Monkeys, and Mustangs (mostly lost to chemistry issues, not lack of elite players)

To hell with this. ***O*** ain't afraid of anyone. Both teams make it to the finals, epic game ensues. In the end ***O*** takes them out.

See now that is the spirit that teams should have, not whining like SI in the GLB thread. Winners battle no matter what the other team looks like, Evil Monkeys have dropped teams that no one ever thought we could beat.

I bet the Vaqueros had that same attitude before you beat them by 94 points last season.

After a couple 50+ point losses, "that spirit" will quickly vanish like it did for all the other USA Pro teams that quit already.

Would you spend an extra hour or 2 scouting and gameplanning if it was the difference between winning and losing? For sure. How about if it was the difference between losing by 80 and losing by 110? I wouldn't waste a minute worrying about it.

They lost by 94 points because they were out gameplanned. It's something we just excel at. I'm sorry but to say we should be penalized after working 6 hard seasons to get to this point I would respond with an emphatic...FUCK YOU!

Hmm, so let me get this straight. SI is a communist. You want to help the less fortunate who didn't work as hard/aren't as good at gameplanning as us by lowering us to be on an even keel with the worse teams. I'm sorry but the cream of the crop will rise while the pitiful will fall. To impose a salary cap would be stupid since everyone on the team would just sign minimum salary contract.

This virtual merging of teams will destroy GLB in the long run. The monkeys did a great job with their recruiting and I don't mean to specifially single them out, but this has to end.

Bascially I know my team Never has a shot to win the Pro championship unless we merge with another team or The Monkeys get bored and disband their team.

What will happen is more and more teams will be gutted to make "Super" teams and the leagues will be forever screwed up.

Again I have no problem with what the monkeys are doing, however if you look at the long term picture for GLB this practice has to stop.
Maybe a roster size cap would do it. I'm not sure.

$4m minimum salary for level 40+ players. $160M salary cap. You keep trotting out this argument like it is a valid way to refute salary caps!

Clearly if Bort WANTS to make it so you can't stay together, he will.

RETRACTED

My apologies, it was jrry32 in the other thread, not you. That damn monkey gets me confused! I retract the last part of my statement.

That's the main problem I have with the merger.

Strategy-wise, it's smart for the Monkeys. Kudos to them.

But we all saw what happened to Cyberdunk. Essentially, roster sizes need to be capped. I think 48 is more than enough.

Then spend more time recruiting players or creating great players and less time whining.
