I polled a handful of Halifax players to see if we should participate. There was much debate before we came to a decision...

Just kidding.

wont speak for VT but I think well be in.

If I may make a suggestion, consider making the 8 league champions the top seeds and then assign the rest randomly but keep inter-conference teams from playing each other in the first two rounds.

you should go by overall rating...there are a ton of AAA teams across the board that made low playoff seedings last year that would get smoked by some good AA teams in the US AA.

Yea but there are also a lot of AAA teams that can compete with good teams in USA AA...

That is one of the ideas I'm tossing around.

The 3 options are:

1.) 8 league champions as top 8 seeds, then everyone else is randomly assigned
2.) rank the top 16 or 32 teams and then everyone else is randomly assigned
3.) all 64 match-ups randomly assigned.

The option that is not going to happen under any circumstances:

- ranking all 64 teams by some sort of system. Any decent system would take up too much of my time.

The tiebreaker on any teams on the bubble which are too close to call will be which team PM'ed me or posted here first to say they wanted in.

I'd like to throw my team in.

Huskers Illustrated Bugeaters USA A6.

We started O-2 but we're a pretty solid team. We won BBB12 our first year.

Season 2- 19-1 , 1st seed, Won BBB12
season 3- 15-4 , 3rd seed, Lost in 2nd round
season 4- 16-3 , 1st seed, Lost in 2nd round
(I didn't count the games that occurred after playoffs)

San Diego Demolition who are in A6 won a similar tournament last season. Made me jealous that we weren't in one and I'd love to be in one with the best teams in the league.

uggg. why do I have to be the bad guy?

Ummm. Unless you haven't boosted as a team yet, you wouldn't be able to compete with the teams you would be facing in this tournament. By my quick count you only have 2 players who are to level 32. That +4 equipment bonus is huge not to mention that many of these teams are full of level 34 or 35 guys. Several have more level 36 guys than you have level 32. Yes, build is more important, but these teams have build and level. Tough to beat. I see you are 0-2 this year in USA A.

While I'm sure you have one of the top A teams, you aren't quite up to this tournament. Maybe next year?

Granted, you may be as good as 1 of the teams on the standby list, but I haven't examined them yet.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

No problem. No hard feelings. The 0-2 is really scary and I can see where you are coming from. You may want to look at San Diego Demolition in A6 though as they won Texas 2 step tournament and are in the finals in another. We'll be ready next year though

I think just the 8 champions since they deserve something. Everyone else is so close together that you are splitting hairs.

I still think you need to try to avoid early inter-conference matchups (not necessarily inter-league, just not two CPL east teams playing for example), mostly so you dont end up putting a leagues best representatives up against each other early.
