Oh you're right, starting at 0 instead of +1... still one baddass piece of gear, going to keep my eyes peeled for more +3 gear.

Thinking about the SP it would take to raise that SA alone is worth skipping the bonus SP from temp boost...
I'm thinking with upgrades at 32: +5 Speed, +5 Stamina, +3 Shutdown ... is that correct?
+4 speed, +5 stamina, +3 shutdown (8-16-24-32).
Not quite.
Assuming you place all your attribute points in speed when you upgrade, it will be:
+5 Speed, +3 Stamina, +3 Shutdown SA
At 32, you get 5 upgrades. Levels 1, 8, 16, 24, and 32. You get a +1 in speed at each one and a +1 in the SA at 8 and 16.

There isn't a 'level 1 upgrade' on CE. Just like with regular equipment where your initial choice of stat is the 'lvl 1', whatever the CE rolled to begin with is the 'lvl 1'. Upgrades are at 8, 16, 24, 32, etc.

Sorry, but you're wrong. And we're discussing AE, not CE.

I meant AE, silly typo. On the other note, that is contrary to everything I had heard, but I am wrong.
"There were some mistakes in the Official training FAQ and some of the announcements concerning how advanced equipment upgrades work. "
That would explain my confusion.

My CB has a +1 agility +1 wrap up tackle and +1 change direction. Neither seem sexy enough to buy.
My HB has the same type of pieces. +1 Spin SA and +1 Lower shoulder. Wish they had additional abilities.

Is a +1 speed +2% intercept change a long time keeper? Or should I hold out for something better. A level 20 CB for reference
I skipped most pages in this thread so forgive me if it has been discussed...
can CBs use the 1-handed catch special equip or is it linked ONLY to WRs?

Any SA works for any position.
However, when its out of that person's Skill Tree, its tough to raise.

No no no!
There are position-specific SAs that can only be used by a player in a certain position. Line Gen., Defense General, and most of the QB SAs, to name a few.

Ah, yes, yes, yes ... I got ahead of myself.
My apologies.

My preference is to wait until I've got something with at least +1 to a decent attribute and a good SA. I'm not a huge fan of the % mods.
I guess what I'm trying to say is to hold out for something better. If you have to, buy something cheap to store your tokens in between seasons and just sell it back once you find something nice.
