Not to toss my hat in the ring, but I have never found where Obama said that. Definitely been rumored that he did but I haven't seen any proof. Snopes also reported it as a hoax. I know for a fact that Ellison did swear in on the Koran however.

Im sure EC is a NRA member, and he loves his constitutional rights. But he would be quick to call an american born "muslim" an unpatriotic terrorist. I guess founding the whole country around avoiding religious persecution is lost to him.

I am not saying that I have a problem with whatever irrelevant book Obama decides to swear an oath upon. The only thing I care about with regards to that subject is that he actually upholds that oath.

I am not sold on any of the candidates that are running this season. I like the issues that Obama covers and the promises that he makes, but until action is actually taken that is all they are. Obama is not the first person to promise and not deliver.

With the high price of campaining and the rewards that are assured if a person does win, any candidate will say whatever he/she needs to say in order to get elected.
