But what happens when the game gets a bit repetitive? Should we go find something else, or maybe find something new within the same game like an Iron Man League?
Most good teams now have a complete build guide for every position, starting with optimal weight/height/attributes from the moment you roll the player. The creativity and ingenuity is being slowly sucked out of the game in favor of the cookie-cutter build with only slightly different variations in advanced equipment. Everyone recommends the same VAs, SAs, tactics settings. 10 seasons from now when these guys are reaching their plateau, I expect that nearly every top team will look just about exactly the same and the only difference will be in game-planning.
Before, this kind of strict cap-building was limited to just a handful of the top top teams, and I don't believe it was ever structured to exhaustively, from Day 1 to Day 400. Now I see this same guide EVERYWHERE, copied and pasted from one team forum to another.
Certainly, 5 or 6 seasons down the road, the same problem will probably start occurring with an Iron Man League, but I still believe there are so many different options and strategies for optimal builds that it will never reach the tedium I'm seeing and projecting in the current game.
