Also an excellent returner and WR. And led the team to a national championship... something that's much harder to do from a position like CB than from QB. TBH if Manning puts in a good performance against NEB in his bowl game, he probably wins the Heisman. Unfortunately, when it really mattered, he couldn't pull through.

Fatal flaw in your logic is that the Heisman is handed out before bowl games.

Poor trolling on my part. Apologies.

Woodson only caught 11 passes in his Heisman season along with 2 TDs. In addition, he had 33 PR for 283 yds, 1 TD, 8.6 avg. Hardly the stuff of legends.
It was a 'politically correct gratis vote' for snubbing so many worthy defensive performers over the years.

I think the fact that he had a huge game against Ohio State in the last game of the season made his bid.

He had a TD reception, an Interception, and a Return TD I believe.

Heisman was decided by the time of this game. Interesting to note was how the previous two weeks leading up to the Heisman award ceremony was how ESPN talked non stop about what a phenomenal player Woodson was and never said a peep about Manning. Then the Friday before the award ceremony (when all the Heisman votes had to be in by) ESPN finally did an hour special about Peyton Manning. ESPN/ABC/Disney tried very hard to keep the Heisman out of the SEC and almost pulled it off with the National Championship game as well. Eddie George running around with Tommie Frazier's Heisman might be the only bigger disgrace then Woodson running around with Manning's. Manning was robbed that day by the corrupt organization lead by Disney...

Good luck in the SEC Aggies. I am going to miss the annual shoot-out with the Longhorns. Hopefully the rivalry will come back in the future and who knows, maybe they will square-off in a bowl game.

Once they clean the sand out of their vaginas we will play again. We already told them we would play any time, any place.

Heh...
Keep believing ESPN/ABC/Disney is all about integrity and what's right for college football. You do realize they nearly had a monopoly on that market until Delaney gave Mark Shapiro the middle finger and 'rolled the dice.' ESPN/ABC/Disney is in the business of making money, not what's right for sports. The LHN wasn't created out of ESPN stupidity (even though it looks so) but to keep a major power pacified to allow the Disney conglomerate time to fix the shit Mark Shapiro fucked up.
