Before the stretch from about 2002-2008, Washington was a perennial power. Something like 27 consecutive winning seasons. A National Title, several conference titles, Rose Bowl wins, 21 of 26 seasons finishing 1st or 2nd in the conference.

True. The resurgence of USC and the emergence of Oregon hurt UW imo.

That wasn't a shot based on the history of UW, it was a shot that a PAC school can tiptoe into Austin and take a recruit.
