guys, I never asked Bort if I could move every player to the same team, all it was that he ok'ed releasing the players as long as I didin't run away with all the money too.

So you can call it gutting, but I did what I was told I could do. I had a fine day in my first pro league game so I'm gone for good.

LOL... Bort said it was OK because he never thought that you all would end up on the same BBB team. If you would of said.. "Hey Bort, can I release all my players and move them all to a BBB team as long as I keep the money intact?", what do you think he would of said? Of course he would of said hell no.

Pretty sure that Bort took your question as "hey, none of them want to play for this team any more, so as lonmg as I keep the money intact, can I release them to be FA so other teams (not team) can pick them up.

What I still don't understand is that why you all wanted to move.. I have heard that Mamba couldn't keep the team competitive because he didn't have the time. Getting a new owner would solve this problem right??? No need to even move..just chang the ownership.

When the other person decided to buy the team, was it post or pre-eviction?

Chattanooga Quarantine has been fined $1,000,000.

Consider them punished as they have now paid a good amount of money for the new players they brought in.

Bort and I are discussing several ways to reduce the likelyhood of things like this from happening in the future.

I feel this is pretty light in punishment, especially since they could not even make a trade like this because the game would not allow it....

BUT, with that said, DD, I do appreciate your time (along w/ Bort's) looking into this matter and coming up with a solution.

I am kind of curious what the "several ways" to prevent in the future are. I mean, there are some strict rules around "trades" and this basically broke 2 of them by circumventing the trade process and doing it via free agency.

At the time, I had no intentions of moving to the same place. It just presented itself soon afterwards. Like I said, I've apologized and moved on.

If it had just been you that moved, I would of been like.. "umm wtf is he doing on that team? Oh well".

Did you not think there was anything wrong, at all, with all of the other guys coming over as well when you finally did decide to join Chattanooga? <-- serious question

how can you say that, you dont know how much money they were docked EDIT dd just added the amount

hey if they had made a legit trade through the system and it cost them the same amount of money i would have little reason to complain. even if it gave them a big advantage that would be following the system. and since dd knows the algorithms for the trade calculator i have to assume he made their penalty at least what it would have cost them to do it via trades

if that assumption is correct im fine with this

btw - does anybody know what the quarentines money was before this penalty? then we can figure it out for ourselves pretty much

Baahhhh thought it was a new thread. I have read that thread already. Some of the suggestions can work, but most of the suggestions in that thread stem around trades and not free agent type signings. Salary cap can be good as can be transaction limitations. Unfortunately, limiting number of transactions a team can make can seriously hurt a team that is trying to compete while still staying within the rules.

I think the player/owner association thread has some good ideas as well which in turn could possibly address something like this.

DD said it was $1,000,000 himself. Trades for just cash are not allowed (at least that what I thought I read as something that was changed a few updates ago).

DD, what happens to the $1,000,000? Do they just lose it?
