A'Shawn Robinson visiting "one of his dream schools", USC, for a 2 day visit. This is directly contradictory to Mack's "no visiting" policy...when will Mack be pulling his offer?

You had to link a preview of a team that is slated to go 2-6 in conference.

Yall aggies still don't have a clue. Mack doesn't have a no visit policy and never has. He has only stated that he prefers recruits to give notice if they plan on visiting under schools and that they do so with the knowledge that if they are looking around, UT will look around as well. If UT finds another recruit that they value as much and that recruit is willing to commit, only then does the commit who is looking around lose their scholarship.

Proven how? You say something that is contrary to what people have heard for years from recruits and accept it as fact

No, you're bringing that retarded Texags stuff on here like you always do. What I said has come straight from Mack Brown on multiple occasions.

Oh cool, when you sort by avg you guys made the top 20, so that is good.

Quantity vs Quality? Lets see where aggy is about 9 months with all those three stars and without Derrick Griffin (oh wait he might qualify since you guys switched to the SEC).

Well, 3 months into the 9 month window and this is where we stand:

Rivals
A&M - 3
t.u. - 5

Scout
A&M - 2
t.u. - 3

Report: Texas Tech may cancel game against Texas State

How badly do Big 12 schools that aren't located in Austin, Texas, want to keep their games off of the Longhorn Network? So badly that they would consider playing only 11 games in 2012 rather than be on it.

That's what Texas Tech is reportedly considering according to RedRaiderSports.com. It seems the school is thinking about cancelling its game against Texas State after finding out it might be broadcast on the network.

Tech learned of this possibility several days ago, and according to the source, is "adamantly opposed to playing on the Longhorn Network" and is "putting serious consideration into canceling the game and playing an 11 game schedule" this fall.

"We are extremely disappointed," the source told RRS. "Our hope is that the Texas State game will be played on a primary ESPN platform."

Now something to consider here is the money Texas Tech would lose if it cancelled this game. Texas State stands to make quite a bit of money for hosting a game against Tech, and if Tech wants to back out of the game it will have to pay a substantial buyout to do so.

So not only is Texas Tech thinking about dropping a game just to avoid the Longhorn Network, but it's willing to pay to do so.

But will Tech actually have to cancel the game?

Texas State is a member of the WAC. Since it's a home game for Texas State, the WAC has the right to choose which ESPN affiliate broadcasts the game, and something tells me that WAC won't be choosing the Longhorn Network after hearing this news.

I don't blame them, they want their fans to actually be able to watch the game.

The University’s Division of Housing and Food Services is using reserve funds to cover this year’s $69,280.50 increase in subscription fees to its cable provider, Grande Communications, said Laurie Mackey, director of administrative services at the Division of Housing and Food Services.

“[The fund] is used for any types of costs that weren’t budgeted for that year,” Mackey said.

She said the division will consider increasing student costs for contracts next year if the division cannot cover the rates themselves.

“Grande charged each room in the residence hall $5.85,” Mackey said. “They are charging an additional $1.50 to cover Longhorn Network.”

$1.50 per dorm room per month, when they pay $6 total for their cable. 25% of their cable bill in the dorms is for the Longhorn Network....in order to subsidize Grande carrying it to their other subscribers.

So basically the university is PAYING for Grande to carry the network. And that $70k was only for 4 months in 2011. So they are going to pay $280,000 a year so the students on campus can have the LHN. Therefore, Grande is passing a portion of the LHN cost to the University, who in turn pass it off to the students.

Then, as a portion of the funds that Grande has to pay for the LHN, the STUDENTS' MONEY will be remitted to ESPN.

ESPN will in turn use the money as a portion of the funds flowing back to t.u.

So... nearly 6% of the gross dollars that tu claims to be collecting from the LHN for academics are nothing more than "fees" that their own students are paying
