was pretty niche, and the one person in the game that would recruit an 80 speed lb happened to know of me

Who really likes spending a year building a player? Lower level leagues are just no fun to watch.

Only because we're used to watching the higher levels. Try watching the lower games on fast forward.

Two things I always thought were good ideas for this games enjoyment and can work hand and hand to succeed.

#1 HUMAN OWNED DLEAGUE TEAMS (similar to something jdbolick said days ago) - Allowing established owners the ability to run DLeague teams. Set-up AIs, depth charts, etc. Give the owners a couple hundred flex per season to own the team instead of making them pay for it, and there is a motivation of sorts to get some good agents in there to help along the newest folks GLB needs to survive long term.

#2 OFFICIAL GLB DRAFT - Creation of a true GLB draft system, where you can opt into the DLeague system (the one I referred to above in #1) and it carries you through the levels until you are 200 or 240 or 280 days old when you are entered into a bonafide drafting system. Team could be asked to pay "X" flex per season to opt into the draft, and the builds of the agents that are opted in are open to everyone in the draft.

The possibilities are endless with the Draft system concept, because it opens the doors for analytical types that want to forecast the draft, ala Mel Kiper. It creates a sense of competition with building better players then other people and you could actually end up with agents striving to build better players. Building the best players should be the focus of this game in my opinion.

owning d-league teams is stupid and defeats the purpose

and glb paying people to do so is even more stupid

i guess you followed that up with a forced draft

maybe it was a joke post. I'll just give you the benefit of the doubt and assume thats what it is

The idea is that those owners would have a responsibility to teach the game to agents on the roster. Maybe you only do it for ages 0-120d.

I didn't picture you as being this naive.

People that want to "teach" are already doing so.

People that want to "learn" are already doing so.

Trying to force either is futile at best.

Because GLB is so disorganized (even the wiki is down), agents don't always know where to learn, especially if they are too intimidated to post. A lot of those guys are in the D-leagues.

it feels like you pretty much have to teach yourself how to do a lot of things on GLB tbh.
