And where do you get the info on when SA's trigger and how many points they need?

Well, I can't say these things specifically happen. But the point of the matter is, I've seen WITH MY OWN EYES with backs on the very same teams I OC with agility at 77, 6 in Spin, and breaking tackles relatively often using that SA. Add Quick Feet in, and I'm sure he would have fired it a lot more often.

Also, I'm guessing Juke doesn't need 100 agility to fire. Otherwise how many dots realistically would be able to use it? And are all those fake outs we're seeing a result of Head Fake only?

I was hoping I could get the info for ref mat

I have no problem removing the STOP archetype. It wasn't there on the initial list but was added after discussion. That would be the one suggestion I'm more than happy to live with.

but with so many options for players (and STOP) - do you foresee any roster size changes in the near future?

I'm less concerned with roster size as I am with experience points. With truly specialized players they could very likely be in roles that don't necessarily lend themselves to a great amount of playing time. As it stands now, getting 2 HBs 40+ plays a game is difficult enough. Now what if you want to have 3 different types of backs? Forget max XP.

Not worried, got plenty of flexies saved. Just don't see why I should keep investing when you never know if you will have a good investment in say oh, six seasons from now. Can you tell me there won't be something NEW coming out that I shouldn't just wait for at that time? I'm saying this because I do have a good team and its in the level it will have to content with the better builds with the archetypes but too leveled up to benefit from converting them. Got stuck in the cap conversions over the past two seasons. Just not in a great mood for more changes at the moment. I just started another team last season and we spent the money to get two teams to insure we started out getting max experience for all. Just more money wasted as you need to have perfects builds to seriously compete. Love the game improving. But can't we see more changing in a single season and not so spread out. So I apologize Catch22 and Mat McBriar for sounding disrespectful. I do love the game, just guys lets put it into a huge upgrade about every four seasons. Let us enjoy the game and have things to look forward to, not just here you guys go next season and next season we'll be doing that. And then we'll do something else next season. Just sounds like brainstorming and implementing. Not organized, thought out and implemented for the betterment of all..

Couldn't have been said better.

Thank you! This helps. I can see what this means, but I don't understand why we don't just let people select their own majors/minors/SAs.

letting people select their own majors and minors would be not letting people select their own majors and minors, DUCY?

I think Guppy is asking why FB's can't have the returner archetype.

I tell you what, if you can name 5 fullbacks that have returned kicks on a consistent basis in the the NFL in the last 20 years, I'll let them choose the archetype.

Well, Jacob Hester, Rock Cartwright, and Mike Anderson have all played RB and FB. I think you'd be hard pressed beyond that, though...

I hate the Idea of this you should defiantly take this to vote because I am sure this wouldn't pass... this game is based on what the consumers of the game want not what the people running the show this game should be more of a democracy then a dictatorship. No representation is bad in a democracy it leads to war and backstabbing. Please take this to vote and save the game from sucking even more. Let the people speak there minds .

1)Where you been price2010? Maybe you never got the word but Catch22 IS our representative, as I understand it was an extensive player/GM/owner who spent his cash on the game just like you and I (and many others) do, so tbh, I trust his line of reasoning here more than the naysayers at this point. For those arguing the "cookie cutter" debate, since there are thousands of players on here it isnt realistic to think that any one build will ever be totally unique, however by adding other options for us to choose from the chances of 2,000 other players having the same build as my player is reduced significantly than under the current system. Also, if people stopped posting player build guides, maybe a few less identical players would be around.
2) If everyone would've read the OP, this thread could've been reduced by about 1/3 instead of asking stuff that was clearly stated in the OP.
3) Will this work? Hell I won't pretend to know, however, I am glad to know that changes like this are being discussed by some group of people, at least one of whom comes from a players perspective. Even if this idea ends up being a bust (I don't believe it will though), I say keep trying to do things such as this that might improve the game, and despite some of the tired old repetitive "chicken little" responses you get from some of us, thanks for continuing to ask for our input on this stuff ahead of time.
4) +1 to the idea posted about 45 pages back to allow players to combine any two training combinations, because this will be the true avenue to player diversity.

I agree I believe we had a conversation about that not too long ago, but do you think owners will pick the player that isnt specifically made for returning?

Yes, if he is built better than the returner archetype player.

Please don't hate. Anti-noob attitudes are what drive ppl away. Go ahead, call me a snowflake too. Then go play the game by yourself and see how that works.

my only thing is reconsider the flex cost for st players. that is why no one really wants to play just st right now. they feel they pay enough for it.

then resist them on the DC, dont let them be placed else were.

but i am tired of reading 51 pages. other then the st thing i like this idea.

I couldnt agree more... hence the reason why I said bort was doing it for money

Bort had very little to do with this plan other than wanting it to get done and giving me the go ahead to start working on it and signing off on final approval. The only 200 flex point player for STOP was my idea. I'm salaried, I don't get any money from flex sales. There were other reasons for that choice.
