the problem a lot of people are having with this season's sim is WRs not catching the ball. QB completion percentages, against SIMILAR level opponents is horrible atm.

suggestions is such a popular forum, it will so so much better here O_o

I'm scared to what this would do for the good "possession" WRs (although rare in upper leagues, they do exist and they do fine statistically). I didn't move your thread, btw. Last I checked I was still an lolmod, aka I have no moderator powers outside my home forums.

That's sort of beating around the bush. A 30% increase to jumping/catching/vision is huge and comparatively would probably to make legit coverage non-existent. We would end up w/ players consistently beating double/triple coverage, but by solely "out-rolling" the defenders as opposed to positioning himself or altering his route slightly. That's where a Ball Hawk type VA (current style) needs to come into place. QB/WRs slightly altering routes, throwing where only the receiver can get it, throwing to space, etc.

30% would go to the defense also which would give them a better chance to catch the ball also

teams are passing at about a 50% clip right now...so no one is beating double/triple coverage all that much.

Sort of caught me editing. I just think that's the wrong approach towards "fixing" passing. Increasing roll #'s as opposed to the actual mechanic is a mistake. I'll quote my edited addition from my last post.

bort has been working on Passing for 13 seasons...maybe he needs a band aid fix like VAs. The same style of fix he used on the defensive line tbh

Because of the move, I think I need to lock this. All new/edited VA suggestions are supposed to go in the existing epic (which is where we got all the new ones that came in this season). I'm going to try to get a merge.

Doesn't matter how long it takes to get something "working". VAs are not a crutch, despite how you want them to be perceived. Can't ignore the actual raw mechanic.
