yeah, you're right...when you are paying 10$ a gallon, they'll still be able to hid viable alternatives.

Well, it's certainly not being hid right now. I mean, GM didn't kill the electric car or anything in the Mid-90's despite it being wildly popular and effective.

Hey, so can a viable infrastructure be constructed throughout the entire United States to accommodate a switch from oil to an alternative fuel source? And if so, does everyone who can't afford a new alternative fuel source vehicle get a free trade in, or will there still be a petroleum infrastructure in place to accommodate them?

Whoops.

I can't believe this shit...it's like talking to a bunch of teenagers. Do you really think that no one is waiting for a reason to invent something new. Don't you realize how our country operates...do you think something has to be handed to people before it will take off/take over?

If you want to see how this country regards new ways of doing things, watch the South Park episode entitled "The Entity."

Guess they didn't teach you all about how things come to change in this country...didn't take that course did we?

Don't trip, someday you'll all grow up, look around and figure things out for yourself, without having to pay some professor (who couldn't make it in the real world) to tell you.

I guess it doesn't matter that there was a huge push for it in the mid-90's, it was moderately successful, and then crushed by the same company who created....

Speaking of talking to a bunch of teenagers, get off the ignorance bus. You want to talk about living in the real world, step outside.

Alternative fuel sources in 10 years or so... LOL

Yeah, my poor professors with their doctorates and hundreds of thousands of dollars a year didn't make it in the real world like you have. Fuck, their lives suck. Good point, I concede. You win, Maxnsam!

Aren't you the one who started it by saying a bunch of people mooched off their parents?

SELF-OWNED.

There is the old saying " those that can, DO. Those that can't, Teach". You college non-senses learned from a bunch of cant's. Speaking frankly, I didn's serve in any war, or serve at all for that matter. However, I lost a Grandfather and a Father to the military. I still support it. We do need people like Maxnsam to fight for our counrty so the public doesnt have to and so the "others" arent fighting in our neighborhoods with bombs destroying our kids schools and our favorite places to eat. Keep living in dreamland Obama supporters. The ideals he preaches just arent realistic. Thank you soldiers and thank you Americans who do support our nation and are proud to be Americans.

since Maxnsam won't fill this out, i'll help him so the newer members of the boards can get to one of our more popular posters.

What do you do for a living? - kick ass and take names. nothing to do with a video camera, that's for sure.

Who are you voting for? - mccain because i love america god damn it and i'm not a freedom hatin' teenage hippy that sucks from my mom's titty balls.

Where do you live? - in a red state.

What school did you attend? - the school of hard knocks, none of that fancy learning from professors that still live with their moms.

How old are you? - old enough to kick yer ass! and i'll do it too. wanna wrassle!?

How many tattoos do you have? - 2...1 of an american flag on my left buttock, and 1 of a tazmanian devil giving flippin' the bird with a relative's name illegibly written under it.

The reason that GM pulled the plug was because the technology wasn't ready for mass production. By leaving the existing prototypes in service they were just setting themselves up to have another company get a hold of them and steal the technology. They are actually releasing a plug in electric car in 2010 called the Chevy Volt.

That saying references your little league coaches.
It doesn't exactly pertain to those teaching me radiology and neuroscience.

Just wanted to clear that up for you and educate you a little bit. It's funny how you apologized for making assumptions so recently yet I haven't seen you actually provide one genuinely constructive post to this discussion. Just lots of exaggerations, accusations and assumptions. Oh well!

So why'd they simultainiously hire a "hype" man and a "dehype" man for the same product?

well just to stay on top of our English teacher. wrassle = wrestle, American deserves to be capitalized, tazmanian = Tasmanian, flippin = flipping , hatin = hating, america = America, i'm = I'm, i'll = I'll, mccain = McCain
