They were the same offensive play, but neither time did the RT decide to attempt to block.

However, the other 2 sacks they had .. completely normal, ball was held too long.

Anyhow, grats again to Manila, they were the better team and they went ahead and boosted to meet our boost and we lost. Owner is a class act.

Speed rushers are able to go inside that RT now. I've been seeing it happen too lately. Not sure how to fix it. More vision??

It's a nice addition to help offset the new pathing of the OTs. In real football (yes I know these are dots) if an OT gets back too far too quickly, the DE will cut inside. This is just giving our dots that ability.

7 different league were represented in the elite 8.

Only USA Pro had 2 teams. One of those 2 (DDL) is on to the final 4 already.

Despite being much more heavily represented, Canada Pro, USA Pro and AAA didnt put as many teams forward as their numbers would have suggested.

USA Pro put the most teams forward.
12 teams from USA Pro were in the first round
10 teams from Canada Pro
7 Teams from USA AAA

The next closest was SA Pro, EE Pro and WE Pro putting 5 forward a piece. The numbers don't lie and those regions put many more teams forward then the rest of the field.

Ummm .. thats the point, they had the most numbers .. but given the numbers .. those 3 leagues were 1/2 of the teams in the tourney .. you would have expected them to have more teams that made it the distance, that didnt happen.

Its like if I put 16 black marbles in a bag that has 32 marbles in it. I should pull out a black marble 50% of the time if the marble I take out is replaced each time.

The point is ... a lot of leagues who were underrepresented have teams who can compete with anyone.

Put forward doesnt mean "got into the tourney based on their name and the alleged strength of their league" .. I believe this tournament has shot that idea out of the water. It means advanced through the tournament against all comers.

SE Asia had 3 teams in Region 1. Of the last 4 surviving in region 1, 3 were SE Asia, and the final 2 are both SE Asia. Bandar made it to round 3 as well. I think we made a pretty good showing so far.

Your example (the marbles) would only be appropriate if all teams were created equally. By putting 12 or whatever USA Pro teams in, they not only included the best teams from the league, but also some of the umm "not best" teams LOL... I doubt anyone would disagree that the best teams from other leagues could compete with lesser USA Pro teams. Also, not making excuses, but boosting and gameplanning do possibly come into effect.

All that said, anyone who thinks all of the teams in any Pro league are the best today is absolutely misinformed. But the best teams in the best Pro leagues are (I would suspect) all very, very good.

What would be nice for the future would be elite leagues where teams that dominate pro divisions for two or three seasons go.

Of course, it would take time for it to happen but a super league would be a lot of fun.

There should have been, at max, 4 or 5 times from USA Pro in the tourney. Instead, we had 13 or something.
