I thank the pimps for sticking up for the league, too. I believe even more strongly that if everybody were to just be cool, things would be fun again. Hell, I think this league will be even more fun than last season since we have so many teams who are legitimate title contenders.

Yea damnit it where's my props? I took a five day banning for asking Asheme if his screen name was code for She=he=me. Yea yea childish but it got under its skin lol. :-)

2. Totally against any form of thread-locking, no matter what;
3. Totally against any form of forum-banning, no matter who no matter what for;
4. Not too keen on mods at all, no real need;
5. I said it before the CPL got owned here, and Iīll say it again: the Pimps have been a real boon to our forum, and their team will be great for competitiveness. Yeah, there are 1 or 2 childish posters, but they donīt attack anyone, all they do is talk up their team and it is actually quite easy to scroll past their posts if you donīt like them.


Honestly mate, thereīs no need to announce your forum retirement, because if you hadnīt noticed that several of the Pimps have actually been a great addition to the forum, then you havenīt been reading it anyway.

After things settled down, I kind of figured that this might have been the outcome, if not the outset goal to begin with. It's hard to gauge over an internet forum, but it seems like there were a good number of flared tempers (especially on our side).

If that was the intended goal of your league's spamming of our board, then its with a bittersweet sentiment that I will have to acknowledge that I appreciate the effort.

Now, in good fun and on behalf of the rest of the WEPL (until at least we can actually schedule these friendlies)...

Stupid post. Why did you deem it necessary to announce your "retirement" in the first place? To convince yourself you're taking the high road and you have some class? And all because of a few people you don't like now post on this forum? Step off your high horse and just deal with it. That's life. And this is the internet. If you're offended by comments you read here, you must be extremely thin skinned and sheltered.

I've tried to stay off this but I simply have to say something at this point. All Irish did was post that he wasn't going to be around. Maybe a bit self absorbed to think that people will miss what he brought to the board but I don't think so. He loved going onto the board and bringing back to the Blitz the insight of other insightful people on here. That unfortunately has not continued the way it was in the beginning. People bringing unneeded things to the table made the forum alot less useful for the ability to build a team and players and I think that is what this was all about.

This was not meant in his opinion (and that may be the problem here) to be a face off of attitudes but rather a useful tool to help build players and have some civilized talk. Now again, that is on him and now that it is not what he likes then it is best for him not to be on the board but to bash him for letting people know why he is gone is just rude.

Nothing wrong with letting people know his reasons for being gone at all IMO. Certainly doesn't call for the name calling (not that he's even coming on to see it).

The second edition of his reasoning was simply an ad hominem attack on other members of the board, and if you think no one who felt wronged by that should be able to retaliate, you're a fool.

A retirement post is one thing, but it certainly doesn't have to be as inflammatory as the one irish wrote.
