2-16. Who cares

This post is the typical shit, that makes me stop posting here, a classy post by coreyls, and well, what the heck, why would I even care, I even play with one of the Pimps in one of the newer teams. And it may be fun, if you're on their side, but for us it's no fun, perhaps you don't get it, but before you were here, no one was egomaniac, we analyzed games and rankings, and usually the top teams paid respect to the other team by ranking them better or giving them credit.

You are one of those people who calls animal control on me for letting my dog shit in my back yard without having a leash on her, arent you?

On a serious note though, do you realize how absolutely ridiculous you sound? any other forum and everyone would have had a good laugh and moved on. Maybe you should spend a day in the Canadian Pro League, then we can see how bad you think that kind of post is.

LMAO at Reykjavik and MA being that low. And how can people put the Heat ahead of Korb? That doesn´t make sense.

You may laugh but right now we have some serious trouble getting along with the new settings... just saying...

Mike Rogers Power Ranking Season 4 Day 0

ALPHA
1. Woodridge Lumberjacks
The reigning Champions are still the strongest team overall in the WEPL.
WuJax ability to attack any facet of the game makes them an even stronger favourite in a ever evolving Season 4.
And they have a nice schedule this season, facing the rest of my top 4 teams inside the first 5 games.
Interleague Game : Dfools All Stars

2. Berlin Blitzkrieg
I like what Berlin are capable of on Defense, and they have the ability to grind out a win. I am not sure if they have the quick strike capability of some of their top tier rivals in Alpha, but that defense, and consistent Offense might just be enough.
A very freindly schedule this season could allow them the ability to experimen a little further than some other teams.
Interleague Game : Reykjavík Aggies

3. Valhalla Vikings
Look for Vikings to surprise this season.
With that awesome passing Offense Vikings could easily run away with the league, but on balance, and taking into account the changes in Season 4 already, I think it is just as possible that Vikings slip a little from their position of strength.
Their ability to put up quick points was what made me keep them in the elite bracket, but they dont look as strong on defense as the top 2. But if they get that right they have a very good schedule, with Game 15 being against WuJax.
Interleague Game : Multiple Scoregasms

4. Fightin' Texas Aggies
I dont think anyone will be able to run the middle on Tank Davis this season consistently, and that means a lot of shoot out for the fans at Kyyle Field.
I think FTA have the fire power to win most of those shoot outs, and I think that the FTA Warriors game will be one of the best of the season as a spectacle.
If they could sure up their defense against the elite teams, it could be their season to lose.
A very tough start to the season against WuJax is rewarded with a very nicely balanced schedule that ends with the two conference relegation fodder candidates, Assassins and...
Interleague Game : Sandford

5. Wembley Warriors
Sometimes you just get a feeling.
Warriors were the best team in season 1 and then slumped for a few seasons, but all the signs indicate that they are going to be back with avengance in season 4.
The new changes suit their offense, and they have again added well in the offseason.
Still have the potential to makes either a 1-4 seed or miss the play offs entirely.
A balanced schedule, which is only notable for the chance to get WuJax early in the season and ...
Interleague Game : Paris Musketeers

6. Lake Charles Who Dats
Who dats have strengthend their squad and have had several early boosts to key positions. Jury is out on that.
But they have the passing game to do well this season, and should be competitive.
However the are an at risk team for me and have the potential to fall a long way.
This 5th spot is factoring in a lot of past performances.
Interleague Game : Rohrheim Stampede

7. AWC
Could have been much higher up, as they have one of the best Pass protection lines in the league, and the QB and recievers to take advantage.
But that dramatic loss of form in the last half of season 3 is a worry.
Like so many teams in Alpha, they have the potential to beat anyone on their day, but also the potential to lose to anyone.
Their schedule is not the easiest in the Conference with 4 of their last 5 games againt very strong opposition.
Interleague Game : Frankfurt Heat

8. London Monarchs
Always tough to judge your own team, but a solid run game and run defense over the last 3 seasons was what Monarchs were all about. The changes to the game have rendered that advantage useless and this looks to be Monarchs toughest season.
Should have enough to make a Play Off spot, and if things click into place still have the ability to upset a lot of the big names.
Normally a few levels behind most teams starters, the XP slow down is bringing Monarchs back into contention, and we hope to take full advantage
Interleague Game : Stockholm Meatballs

9. E-City Mercenaries
Mercs are similar to Monarchs in many ways, bigger squad, more rotation, lower levels but catching up fast.
So often their performances go under the radar, but they have been close in most every game they played over 3 seasons.
The team I expect to be least effected by the changes in game.
5 of their last 7 are very tough games, so I have them just missing out on the play offs, but its a Very close call.
Interleague Game : Rivals Main Board Pimps

10. Toledo Swords
I checked 4 or 5 times, and still couldnt put a promoted team higher than 10th.
And I really like what Swords have in their squad as well.
They are Pro ready, but they did boost some key positions a little early before some further changes were announced.
Need a strong start to the season to have a shot at the play offs.
Interleague Game : Korb Destroyers

11. Carthage Army of Darkness
Definitely have the starting squad to make a fight of most games, but they do lack for depth at this leavel.
some what of an unknown quantity, but will have to exceed expectations to be challenging for a Play Off spot.
I have ranked them a little higher than my gut instinct because you cannot underestimate someone who performs in the Play Offs like they did last season.
And they have a nice Schedule with 5 of the last 8 winnable.
Interleague Game : Oxford Eagles

12. Stuttgart Nighthawks
Probably the best pair of DEs in Alpha, and a decnt pass defense at times. Stuttgart migh have what it takes in season 4 to break out of the bottom tier.
Offensively they have troubles, but they have been working hard to address them, and I dont see them in any danger this season at all.
The early boost strategy might be enough to see them through some close games early on. But they need it to as their last half schedule is horrific.
Interleague Game : Valencia Billy Goats

13. Nice Dauphins
Unexplainable bad at time. Dauphins have a good squad, but seem to do something every season to throw games. Thats the only possible explaination.
They make moves between farm teams that have no effect on the results, and the all there coniving to gain XP is now redundant as the XP gain is slowing down and everyone has caught them up.
So that skeleton crew of 100 play studs is now the most underachieving team in the Conference.
Maybe there was some great masterplan behind it all?
Interleague Game : Rotterdam Roughnecks

14. Lyon Sharks
Seem to have come through the shift in ownership well enough.
Still not the strongest squad, but should have enough to avoid trouble this season.
Their lack of depth is going to cause some problems, and I cant see them going more than 4 wins this season.
Interleague Game : Oslo Berserkers

15. Blackpool Mountain Lions
Blackpool have been the whipping boys for a few seasons, but always do just enough to win those basement battles.
This is their toughest season without question.
Still have a good squad, and decent Chemistry, but they are not strong enough for this most challenging season in Alpha.
Interleague Game : MA Trolls

16. European Assassins
Legalbama knows that the chances of the Assassins winning a single game are extremely low this season.
the majority of the squad start the season below Level 20, and no matter what the builds, they are not good enough.
Heres hoping Assassins enjoy as much of Season 4 as they can.
Interleague Game : Bari Barracudas

Zeta to Follow...

Mike Rogers Preliminary Power Rankings (Zeta)

1. Destroyers
One of the best defenses in WEPL, possibly the best.
This seasons changes will suit Korbs offense, and they have a nice playbook already.
They were very strong towards the end of last season, and in a close race at the top they just sneak ahead of the rest.
Have a tough end of the Season though.

Interleague Game : Toledo Swords.

2. Stampede
Another strong team from top to bottom, and have been for some time now.
How they adapt to the changes will be key, but hey have the potential to be Zeta Champions.
A tough schedule might be there down fall.

Interleague Game : Who Dats

3. Goats
A strong Offense, and good pass defense should take Valencia to the tp of most peoples lists, but they have little depth on the DLine, and this season that could cost them dearly in a strong Zeta Conference.
They still look to have enough to secure a home field game in the play offs. And an easier schedule than many of their competition.

Interleague Game : Stuttgart Nighthawks

4. Heat
Heat have the solid defense to keep them in every game, but have they got the offensive that can put up enough points consistently?
Last season they did well but faltered in the Play Offs, look for them to improve this season.
Some tough games early might be a blessing in disguise.

Interleague Game : AWC

5. Pimps
Without question they have a squad deserving of Pro status.
And they have proven in AAA they can adjust tactically.
But they will not find life as easy in the Pro League as they did in AAA.
Despite the step up in competition look for the Pimps to make the play offs, but they will need to make a fast start, as their schedule is not very forgiving.

Interleague Game : E-City Mercs

6. Trolls
Another Zeta team with strength in depth, Trolls faired well last season.
In such a close league small things can make a big difference, and Trolls Interleague game could be enough to move the two or three spots higher than they might otherwise deserve.

Interleague Game : Blackpool Lions

7. Aggies
A bit of a bubble team, R Aggies could be a top 4 team based on talent, but they have struggled of late, and the new changes dont seem to favour them.
Will need start the season better than 7-3 as 5 of their last 6 games are exceedingly difficult match ups.

Interleague Game : Berlin Blitzkreig

8. Meatballs
A strong side who should make an impact in the Pro League this season.
Not really challenge in AAA, will be under the radar right now, but look for them to be fighting the top dogs in Zeta all season.
wether they have enough to be at the top at the end is yet to be seen.
A pretty average Schedule.

Interleague Game : London Monarchs

9. Roughnecks
This is a team that might excel with the new changes, or fall flat.
The pass first mentality of Roughnecks means they are able to strike fast on offense, and avoid some of the more buggy Running plays.
But defensively they dont seem able to stop teams moving the ball on them consistently.
A very favourable end of season schedule might be enough for them to secure the Play Off spot.

Interleague Game : Nice Dauphins

10. Musketeers
Perenial 9th placed Paris dont look likely to better that position this season.
No risk of relegation at least, but might get enough early wins to be in stronger contention for that elusive Play Off spot.

Interleague Game : Wembley Warriors

11. Eagles
By no means the strongest squad in Zeta, Eagles have been hanging in there for a few seasons.
This season is going to test them fully, as the level of teams is significantly more challenging, and some of the former whipping boys look to be in position to turn things around.
No risk of relegation this season, but will have to exceed expectations to keep Play Off dreams alive.

Interleague Game : Carthage

12. Scorgasms
Struggled for inexplicable reasons for a while, but Scoregasms look to have turned that corner now.
A strong defense, and good running game should see them put up points on some of Zeta's weaker teams.
Still lacking the ability to compete with the top tier teams, but closing the gap every second.

Interleague Game : Valhalla Vikings

13. Bari
Possibly the best recruitment job in WEPL?
Once Bari recover from the Chemistry knock they suffered in recruiting they will have a very strong team, probably mid to top tier in their Conference.
But can they shake that losing mentality and prove they are for real?

Interleague Game : Assassins

14. Berserkers
A severe lack of depth will be a problem for Oslo, unless they act fast to bring in some more talent.
If not they might just be looking at AAA next season.

Interleague Game : Lyon Sharks

15. All Stars
Never really showed anything in 3 seasons of WEPL competition, All Stars have not done anything to suggest improved performance.
And they have the toughest Schedule in Zeta.
Relegation Candidates already.

Interleague Game : Woodridge Lumberjacks

16. Sanford
New owner less than half a team and slim to no chance of survival.

Interlegue Game : FTA

Psst, you're missing #11

Also, I think that the Viking's performance the last few games have proved that our defense has really stepped up. I can't wait to see the effects during the regular season.

Awwww thanks helluin I have every bit of confidence in our defense, but there are some great offenses we'll have to knock off before we can claim any elite pie.

It was intentional as...

[ ] The number 11 is cursed?
[ ] I was checking if anyone reads them?
[ ] I have a brain tumor that has erased the no 11 from my mind
[ ] I editted it to drop Oslo down a lot?
