haha, i know what you mean. i used to be the guy that would defend my team at all costs, live and die on a w/l (not really, but it did have a large effect on my moods/attitude).

noone and nothing was better than MY team.

i've learned to appreciate other teams and just the game in general. i used to not be able to watch another game unless it was involving an sec in the sec race or was a big game (rivaly, big ooc, etc). now, i can watch any game at almost any time and enjoy it.

now, i still enjoy all the ribbing and stuff that comes along with being a fan of alabama (with auburn and tennessee), but i dont get bent out of shape when we have a bad game or season (good thing to, cuz recently i would have gone postal if i hadnt changed a bit)

also, what you mentioned about teams moving is one reason why im more of a cfb fan than nfl. there is much more, and i enjoy the nfl, but not to the extent of cfb.

Ouch.

I'll say it like I did in my team forum, Ohio State is without a doubt one of the traditional utmost premier programs in college football, but so help me God if they get a NC game for the third straight year and get torched, then no more chances for them for awhile. I don't give two squirts of piss what their record at the end of the season is, enough is enough. Let someone else have a shot.

I'd love to see a Nebraska Alabama home and home. I just don't think it will happen for a while. I think Nebraska has some home and home series set up for the next few years.

2010/11 Washington
2012/13 UCLA and Southern Miss (Southern Miss is a 2 home, 1 away)
2016/17 Tennessee

I'd rather see Nebraska play Alabama than Tennessee. As for this upcoming season, I think there is a shot for Nebraska to win 8 games, but 7 is more realistic. A lot will depend on how the defense plays. Vtech will be a tough game, but winnable. Missouri, Kansas, Texas Tech are all very tough. They have some great offenses. Any of those would be very difficult to win.

Ha! No kidding. I think this year it is going to be Georgia and Ohio State in the NC. And for the third year in a row, Ohio State will lose to an SEC team.

if osu gets by usc in LA, then they deserve another shot. if they get destroyed by usc, they wont.

uga will lose 2. everyone in the sec will lose 2.

the winner of the osu/usc game plays ou for the mnc.

Unfortunatly, i went to HS in southeast Kansas (Coffeyville) and had to endure fans from all kansas schools and oklahoma. the only thing they seemed to have in common was their hatred for NU.

Oh and not to give too much hope for the wildcats, but a well know JUCO transfer from a Kansas school (Coffeyville Community College) did just happen to go on and win himself and his team their first Heisman. Mike Rozier. But 59 is way too many.

god its so freakin unfair the SEC is just to good of a conference. Im a UK fan and I guarentee we could thrive in any other conference. Not saying win the conference but thrive. Anyway take us vs. LSU last year as an example. The little Kentucky Wildcats who finish 7-5 beat the future National Champion. And thats just one upset. Everyone sees how good the SEC is in bowl games anyway (I think we were 7-2 or 8-1). Oh and dont say something stupid like Michigan beat Florida in the bowl game to prove how much better the Big 10 is. Everyone nows that the only reason Mich played that well is just beacuse it was Carrs last game. Plus Florida was only 4th or 5th best in the conference. Point is SEC teams usually get screwed out of the National Championship because of the SEC strength

No doubt. Despite the fact that last years Kentucky team was the best it has had in a few years, the LSU-Kentucky game just proves that on any day, almost any SEC team can beat any other SEC team. I really think that the winner of the Georgia-Florida game this year is going to be in the National Championship game.

There is a really easy way for SEC teams to stop "getting screwed" out of a National Championship. Start playing real teams OOC. They don't get screwed because of the SEC strength, they get screwed because of the lack of schedule strength.

When Auburn went undefeated in 2004, they didn't get respect because their OOC included Citadel (out of the football championship subdivision), Louisiana-Monroe (Sun Belt), Louisiana Tech (WAC). Oklahoma got the nod because they played 3 teams in the football bowl subdivision including one from another BCS league. USC also played 4 teams in the FBS including ND and Vtech.
