Who would be the authority on the Vietnam War? Isn't it the veterans themselves?

I thought you have great comprehension. Biden inherited trump's mess. Everyone was just coming out of covid. Supply disruptions because of it.

Trump? An ill-conceived war.

And that's a win for you? lol

LOL.... And Trump inherited Obama's mess right as that is where that goes next if you want to talk politics which is mainly a smoke/mirror show. Who's on first, what's on second sort of shit. Didn't Obama Bomb Libya in 2011? Was that ill-conceived or justified? There are things we will never know so to determine what is ill-conceived and what isn't or is a cover up is just a crap shoot as you and I aren't privy to the knowledge needed to determine otherwise.

I am a veteran, just not of that war, however, if Lyndon B. Johnson didn't approve troops going to South Vietnam in 1965 which he could have done over 50,000 US soldiers would have never died. Worst decision ever made in the history of our country about going into a war.

You are not the authority of the Vietnam War. So let's leave it at that. The Vietnam veterans have spoken. You have no standing to contradict them otherwise.

You are just plain ignorant about the facts of the war. Can't fix that and I am sure you never knew a Vietnam vet like I did either. Your arguments are pitiful to say the least. Last time I knew a Military advisor didn't fight in the war and sure as hell wasn't boots on the ground which Lyndon B. Johnson caused to happen in 1965.

As I said already, I didn't vote for Trump so why would I care about or know his policy. You mean elite....lol. I am a veteran who lives on a limited income so what do you think.

You are no authority lol. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is. And the first name on the wall is:

Air Force T-Sgt. Richard B. Fitzgibbon Jr. is recognized as the first American soldier killed in the Vietnam War, dying on June 8, 1956. He is listed near the beginning of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, which starts and ends at the center (Panel 1E), arranged chronologically by date of death.

Who are you to say that he didn't die in the Vietnam War?

Eat your humble pie. lol

Nice deflection. The answer is nothing. No Trump policy helped an American. Except for the wealthy 5%.

He was killed by a fellow airmen if I remember correctly so not killed by the enemy. Sure other people died mostly advisors, but 99% of the 58,000 were killed after President Johnson ordered troops to South Vietnam in 1965 so he shares most of that blame don't you think?

Before 1965, the U.S. role in Vietnam was primarily an advisory, financial, and logistical mission designed to support South Vietnam against communist North Vietnam, shifting from supporting the French (1950–1954) to propping up the Diem regime. By 1962, President Kennedy increased military advisors from 900 to over 16,000.
