Sure, that play would take seven seconds, right?

there should have been more time on the clock

I've timed the Detective Inspector in the 44 yard dash at 3.78 seconds. However it probably took the DB longer than it appears to drag him to the ground.

Exactly my first thought - Clutch and / or OTK or both

well, by definition it cant be the VA clutch... i like to think of it as luck. It was only 2nd down so clutch doesnt fire

Zeta FINALS:

Oakland vs. Burnside: Having the number 4 and 6 seeds in finals shows the depth of Zeta as both of these teams certainly deserve to be facing off - and as a bonus - we get to settle the Canada / USA quasi-rivalry.

Burnside has one of the toughest offenses to scout and defend I've seen - they run in and out, pass short, med. and long - all at equal measures, utilizing all targets, and within a varying playbook. After a 65% run / 35% pass game one, they bump up the pass against Dino's and literally control the entire third quarter on one drive. The bend but don't break defense forced a ton of fumbles (PK's buff snafu) and the interception in the red zone with one minute left secured the victory.

Oakland's offense is far less subtle, yet no less effective. They line up in the Goalline set, run every play in the set, and force you to defend sideline to sideline. After a 60 / 40 split against MG, they amp up the pass game and go 40 / 60 (some due to end of game passing) and get into a track meet with Indy. The D gave up chunks to Indy, yet that's almost expected as they are that good, I look for the D to tighten up in finals.

This should be a great game, (will turnovers again play a major factor?), and while I can see Burnside blowing them out if the offense clicks, I'm sticking with Oakland in a low scoring affair, 21 - 20

um, you never look ahead, yet gee, what a surprise to see Mojo in Alpha finals...

I wasn't thinking about the VA and meant that it was an well timed and executed play at the exact time you want and need it to happen. Brilliant play calling too

Oakland's D showed it's teeth and a control passing game mixed with the brutal GL rushing (especially wide with Jack Bauer) controlled the field position, clock and score. Well done Oakland!

WL FINALS

Odessa vs, Oakland Should be an interesting game as there's not a lot of familiarity between these squads - they've only played twice in the reg ssn and never in playoffs - yet those past split games mean nothing now.

This is a tale of two styles of defense that are both highly effective: Oakland's no. 1 D puts players into position to make solid plays while Odessa is more opportunistic and plays for the turnover. (avg almost 4 TOs forced / game - yet also give up more points and yards than Oakland) Neither team's OL has given up many sacks, yet this will be tested on both sides as they both bring the heat - whichever QB handles the pressure and delivers within progression will prevail. (Both QBs throw more INTs than TDs)

Not gonna say much about the offenses - what you see is what you get - and both will dance with the girl they brought...

Big money is on Mojo - the Vegas line has moved so far their direction that action has been suspended - so, of course, I'm on the other side with big odds... Oakland 35 - 31
