catch was the only guy for the players. sure he loved to troll and whatnot but thats what made him a better admin imo. he was one of us just with more power. i liked him. i liked old deathblade too.

oh well. bort has given up and we just either have to quit or slowly get bored of a game we still enjoy.

It has been a long, long, long time in the making getting the Mayan Warriors up here and that is something we are not all that proud about. But we have had some strong teams and epic battles over the years with some awesome squads. We have been up the ladder twice, went 16-0 in PRO twice but always have shit the bed when it matters.

Gonna be tough up here against the ELITE of GLB but we are not going to lie down and play dead. I cannot wait to play this season out against some of these legendary teams and we do have history with several of these teams as well which makes it even better.

This is our own personal last hurrah as the Warriors will not even pretend to go up the ladder again. It has been a wonderful ride with the best owner anyone in this game could ask for and some awesome guys who have been around a long time.

If you kick our ass this year, we are happy with the thrill of finally making it to the show but I hope we can surprise a few of you this year and shock the WORLD...

Gonna be fun to have a season full of meaningful games again after the train wreck of last season.

GO WARRIORS!

Glad to see Mayan make it. Wish my rQB could've helped them to do it a season earlier.

Catch abused his admin powers more then anyone could imagine. He gave away MASSIVE amounts of "insider" info to those who kissed his pink and purple baby maker. For those 2 reasons alone he is internet dust, there's more but ProKop, his trolling certainly did NOT make him good for anything in GLB but but his for his own personal agenda.

If you're going to hold that against Catch then you have a beef with most of the admins here.

My only problem with him was all those bullshit 30 day bans he gave me.

Large online football userbase. Then you in no way integrate...

1. Paid Fantasy Football (you can either have it yourself on the site, or get an official sponsor with nice kickbacks).
2. A referral system that isn't worthless.
3. Affiliates. Just give them a kickback % on flex bought.
4. Football related advertisements.
5. Different price points. Perhaps a 50% cost, 0% refund option. Simply put, there are people who will not care about the refund and view dots as too expensive to start making. Creating an olineman for 150 flex/season brings you into micro-transaction territory, something very good for online games...

#1/#4 are free moneyz, perhaps substantially.

#2/#3 are how you get new members with minimal effort and no advertising budget.

Even with this new user unfriendly game, you could have gotten a lot more from the above. And honestly while I respect them trying to be ad-free, every person here would rather have a couple advertisements/page than have the game move to it's slow painful death.

Keep in mind it's too late for all that. The userbase is far past it's prime and jaded, and they've made the horrible decision to create a 2nd football MMO (follow by whatever you think mightybrawlers is). We are left to take solace in the fact that in 5 years (I'm sure sooner) warriorgeneralgames will be clearly and 100% out of business due to their piss-poor decisions.

Oh and I cannot even almost comprehend the fact that glb2 (and mb) was made without a full integrated android and iphone apps. Browser games are no longer a real thing to get moneys from the masses. People don't sit around killing time on their internet browser games, they do it on their phones... Creative "mobile browser friendly" webpages is not even almost a quality solution.

This rant is what it is, and I've accepted GLB is far past the point of no return. But to pretend GLB's decline is solely due to the community eventually losing interest is an incredibly simplistic and incorrect view imho.

Anyhow lem, I'm still here and having fun for a bit longer.

Thanks Ace... You were a welcome part of the squad for that one season. We were close.

This season in the Conference we are in we will get our ass kicked (thanks BORT) but at least we are finally in the dance.

Other admins have done some pretty abusive stuff as well. I can't really single out one admin and let the rest off the hook.

to be fair, thats how life is. you pay $1000 a month to play an online game and get insider info, okay. i mean go ahead. feel free to spend 12 grand a year playing a game. i would be mad if they didnt get some special reward for it tbh. well not mad i would feel bad for guys like KoB who are pieces of shit but enjoys spending his paychecks here. keeps the game going for the rest of us.

im not saying he was the best but i mean he was at least a guy you could approach with stuff. i also loved his trolling before he as an admin. he got kinda annoying after that.

i dont really like any of the current mods nor do i really enjoy the admins. euchrid is good in my books but other than that, everyone who has any power is pretty terrible.
