bakersfield has been making a pretty huge comeback over the past decade. I mean, nashville still rules the airwaves but there's way better shit out there now than there was 20-30 years ago when it was George Strait or nothing

GKMC is easily on par with Illmatic, Paul's Boutique, or 36 chambers.

MBDTF sort of defies comparison with anything else.

Randy travis had lost all of his traction by the early 90s, and it had been falling before then. Eddie and Keith were a little too dead to be making music, alabama and alan jackson were hardly not nashville, and I'll give you dwight, but dwight at his best never pulled anywhere near the numbers that george and garth pulled.
