What make football a good is the diversity of build types and roles needed for a team.

I can't see any other sport competing at that aspect.

Baseball don't have enough dot vs dot matchup, to be interesting.

The main issue I've seen from my time at BB sims was the issue regarding popularity regarding certain positions and the issue of playing time (starter rotation). This is more prominent among pitchers than any other position.

Starter>closer>reliever

i would think 1B and C would be some of the more fun positions

You could really expand the build thought based on how you position your players and what not. I think it would be much more fun though if it were a slow pitch softball MMO. Could really screw with the pitching styles and it would just be hilarious to watch. Also you could have more fun with it instead of the constant need to base everything off the MLB to make it as boring as possible.

There weren't at least 5 or 6 games even remotely close to GLB that were in existence before GLB was created afaik.

1B would be home for some major power hitters. How is that lame?

And throwing out base stealers would be p epic.

Not to mention if they included a catchers ability to call games and frame pitches.
