Forum > Goal Line Blitz > So, if it's gonna be GLB 2.0, how many peeps will bail out early on GLB 1.0?

Hmm... I've never seen one, so I think they are pretty rare.
Though I should clarify for my American brothers: it is 15 yards if the ball is in the air, 5 yards penalty if the ball has bounced.
well it rarely happens just if both gunners get past the blockers and you arent a good returner (played against some shitty backup returners) they usually call a fair catch or else they will get lit up. 5 yards is nothing when going full speed.
but you could be right, not sure if they have it in the CFL. cant stand watching it.

I live in Saskatchewan. We bleed green here.
Though I do prefer the NFL, I won't miss a Rider game.

Funnier that the team with the biggest fan base in the CFL, a league with 8 teams, where 6 make playoffs, in 100 years the Riders have only won the Grey Cup 3 times.

The interest level has gone down the tubes almost completely with the first rpg football game they tried, so why not make another football rpg, right?
Then you can slowly kill this one more, when people realize its dying and don't like the new game, while acquiring zero new customers.
Seems legit. Community college business logic ftw.
Just wondering if you could point me to the last post you made within these forums where you were positive in your outlook?

I literally just went to check that game out again last night and saw that they shut down.
I didn't mind it, but it really was frustrating when people left games (also, I only played like twice a year).

It's been shut down for some time. I was dropping my referral link all over their forums immediately after they announced they were shutting down.

Fuck Canada.
..........
Back on topic.
Based on what Digital Daggers was saying in the main New Game thread, it sounds like Alpha for GLB 2.0 won't last very long, and then it'll go into Beta, presumably an open Beta.
We've also been told in the past by Bort and Catch (Bort rest his soul) that Flex bought in GLB will be fully transferable and spendable in whatever new game comes next.
Given those two factors, how the fuck can I justify telling all of my agents on the Palookas and the Paladins to keep spending Flex on boosting their current crop of dots? Any Flex that they spend now on GLB 1.0 will be that much less Flex that will be available to them for GLB 2.0.
I don't have the time or the money to spend on two games at once. I can either play GLB 1.0 or GLB 2.0, but not both. And since all of the time, energy, attention and excitement of both the staff and the user base will be focused on GLB 2.0, I would likely choose to jump to GLB 2.0 and abandon GLB 1.0 -- and thus abandon my current teams here.
Might as well just tell all of my boys right now that we're packin' it up. Might as well sell both teams now to re-coup the Flex cost of owning the teams for this season, and I might as well stop boosting my current batch of players. And since my players will be unboosted players who no longer have a team, I might as well retire them right now as well.
..............
What am I missing here?
Seriously, what am I missing here? As cynical as I can be about Bort's business acumen at times, it's hard for me to believe that even he could be this stupid as to have not thought any of this shit all the way through.
