Except that you are arguing that. You're saying that because you can't see results, it's not worth it. Problem is, you're drawing that conclusion based on an incomplete picture.

When I wash my hands, I don't see the little bacteria that are all over my hands getting killed and washed away by the soap and water. Since I can't "see" any results from me washing my hands, should I just stop washing my hands?

The only way to come to a truly educated conclusion would be to take a bacterial swab of my hands before washing them and another swab afterwards, and comparing the results.

And the only way for you to come to a truly educated conclusion on whether or not it's worth taking a VA from 14 to 15 is to be able to see all of the raw data and rolls from every single roll involving your dot. Without that ability, you can't make a fully educated decision -- yet you're acting like you can with the things you're saying in this thread.

No... because the numbers aren't right.

Well true, but we dont know WHAT the numbers are.

But we DO know this

Taking 14 Work Warrior to 15 Work Warrior incrementally increases TOTAL Strength (104.2 to 104.5) by only .287%

But adding 1 Quick to Agility raises Agility by .3%.

So there is a .13% total attribute loss by focusing it all into Strength.

From 10 to 15 its about .5-.6% total loss.

Not much but that proportionately greater point by point increase to Agility over 1 to 10 Quick may be more impactful to Agility checks and comparisons than the 10 to 15 to Strength and Blocking because of the percentage wise differences.

Meaning that my linear shifting in my example above may have under stated the case for spreading the VA points out.

Do ya feel me?

Except STR+AGL checks don't exist, only VIS checks. And every attrib has a set % that it factors into scores, u do know scores are what's used for rolls right? And since we know there are no diminishing returns concerning attribs and scores, that makes your scenario inaccurate to how GLB works. Every attrib is weighed differently into each roll, it is not on a curved scale either like u suggested. Technically VIS has its weight on VIS checks on a curved scale as bort stated but i'm pretty certain its unique in that aspect.

Good, because they aren't. If an attribute VA is worth investing 1 point, it's worth investing 15. The only reason you wouldn't is if it's your fifth choice and you don't have 15 left.

No, because focusing on percentages is wrong. By that same rationale you'd rather have two attribute points in confidence than speed since you're getting a higher percentage gain.

Good thing that: A) no one asked you, and B) you never know what you're talking about to the point that you kept getting me banned in FAQ since you were pissed that I constantly corrected your awful advice.

wait, explain how putting 1 in an attribute VA is ever a good investment?Originally posted by jdbolick
