160 speed is neat at the minor levels. But it isn't all that beneficial in comparison to breaking tackles at the upper levels.

I mean if you need speed to be a .5 or even a .67 ALG...you are taking it to 102 and beyond. Probably 112 if it is a .67 ALG.

Meh, rQBs are as much a designated decoy as anything else at the higher lvls, and they actually have to be a real threat to score in that capacity. Although I could see where a guy designed to get 7 yards (more power build) could fit in a person's offense, I doubt I'd give any runner with sub-150 SPD a look for my system anyways.

Was more being a smart ass, I think the balance is there for a scrambler build for an elusive runner, and Deep Passer for a power build. Not sure you could really do any of the things in the OP unless you did convert it to a 4 Major/.5 ALG system for those....... might make building a runner more fun and different, but I doubt they would be all that much more effective even if SPD were a major.

A rushing QB led the WL in rushing yards each of the last two seasons.

Honestly I haven't seen an RQB outside of Atropos Fate with higher than 150 speed that actually performed what I would call at an elite level for the position. I don't know what kinda of x factor I had on that dot but every guy I have used since with over 150 speed has really been not that great.

the best guys now seem to be the ones that have the carrying and strength to plow through some defenders.

My WL rQB didn't do all that well on KK this season, but he didn't get the carries either really other than sneaks in short yardage situations. You can pretty easily build a player with 150+ SPD, 100-105 AGI, 75+ STR, and 90 Carrying though. They break plenty of tackles fwiw.

Well either they are a decoy or they aren't? So that really doesn't make sense. Maybe your RQB was used as a decoy mostly. But Turd Fergusen was definitely not the decoy.

They really don't break that many tackles. They might break that initial tackle but the swarm around them due to people forcing their defenses outside for the pitches makes the need for strength/carrying upwards of 100 more beneficial than 150+ speed. Not to mention the 150+ speed guy will be outrunning his blockers.

First off, I made a statement about my WL guy last season (a guy I didn't coach either fwiw), you assume this is my only rQB that I've ever made, when I've made a dozen of them over the seasons that have torn up every league. I've also owned the #1 rushing team in SEA Pro for several seasons with both of my runs with the Cows (we're resetting in S36 for round 3) and had the #1 running attack in USA Pro for the 6 seasons that the Fury was last in Pro (we're almost there again with this crop). Almost ALL of that was with a running QB in the top 3 in the league.

You should prb school me on running QBs though, since some dude I've never heard of led the WL. Again, you sound more and more like ballick clown every day. That isn't a good thing though.

I have helped more people in this game than you've ever even PMed, so don't talk as if you have any right to judge me. As far as what you have done with RQB's....cool. That doesn't make anything I said not true.
