Got it. And since I've never seen you get laid (not that I'd want to), that means you've never been laid. Ever.

See the fallacy there, T2?

I don't want to see your fallacy thx

A lot, actually. I work pretty fast.

regardless i would speculate that the date/time was off on which ever server your game was set to sim on. games should not sim "early" based on how all this scheduling works on the server side.

And yet games do sim "early."

And I don't want your fallacy either, but you foisted it upon me anyway.

Just because you haven't seen something happen does not mean it hasn't happened. It just means you haven't seen it happen.

I'm not sure why they sometimes sim early, but it's pretty rare. Although it would be nice if we had a fixed time, that apparently isn't easy to do. Just plan on being done 90 minutes beforehand and if you aren't then it's your fault.

I'm not asking for a fixed time, though. I understand that's impossible.

What I'm asking for is a fixed window of time.

I just want someone with authority to come out and say definitively, "The sim can start running at any time within X minutes of sim time." Catch thinks it's 60 minutes, but there are Mods posting in this thread and in other threads who think X is 75 minutes, and there are plenty of GLB forum posts I've found through Google from people who have had X turn out to be anywhere from 65 to 90 minutes on their games.

Something is wrong. The sim servers are not behaving the way Catch thinks they're supposed to.

but I didn't say it didn't happen. I'm sure it does. It just doesn't happen very often. like 1 in 9000.

Please shut up because you're giving me a headache. People have already explained the window to you, and Catch not being aware of something doesn't suddenly make it a problem.

Still waiting for someone to explain why "The sim window is 60 minutes, except for when it's actually 75 minutes, and oh hey why the hell not let's have the sim window randomly be 90 minutes from time to time just for fun!" is better than "The sim window is 60 minutes."

Nope, you can make changes right up until the Depth Chart locks and the sim starts.

yeah im searching for a post by bort way back.......i was pretty sure that it locks sooner so teams cant do last minute changes (people were using decoys and changing last minute wasting all the other teams prep time)

its too bad the wiki sucks ..hard to find anything if it wasnt part of the q n a's

If that's the case, then we have Catch saying one thing, Bort saying another, and mods saying a third thing, with the users themselves experiencing a fourth thing.

Am I really the only one who sees the problem with this?

This thread has gone on long enough. I've personally never seen a sim happen more than 60 minutes early (this is what I told Novus, I did not tell him that this is how it should work, I was just relating to him what my personal observations were). I am sure there are instances of it happening more than 60 minutes, but those are probably due to extenuating circumstances like the ones jdbolick mentioned (server overload from previous scheduled sims). As long as we don't have rosters locking more than 75 minutes in advance, then this is something we are fine with.

If you have rosters locked more than 75 minutes in advance, send me a pm immediately so that I can verify (if I am online I will) and if there are enough verified instances of the issue happening I will discuss it with Bort as to if it needs some type of resolution.
