Think it was related to holding in the HB/FB to block.

Nope. It never worked as a regular pass. There were constant "bug" threads though of people thinking it was a bug because it only threw to the HB though.

Problem is it's called FB Cross Screen and goes to HB. WTF is that about?

back when wr's with first step quick cut used to be able to get separation vs 0 fs/cd corner backs that play was the GOAT

Agreed - it's one of the "hot" routes that the QB always seems to be able to throw quickly and accurately. With defense set with SS either up or middle back, WR2 is mano y mano - it's a great route.

wr2 route is solid but add something for the HB and FB, if want to keep them into block we have that option

1. Diamonds 4 WR's running into each other.
