Originally posted by Diamond Spade u think a team lvl 72 dots should compete with lvl 79 dots when theres a gap in talent everywhere. you never played/or been involved in organize football so its hard for u comprehend this. tpat was nice enough to use highschool as an example but even that flew over ur head
Look here is what is going over YOUR head. 72 and 79 are meaningless tripe. What matters is the following term.
Pro Football Simulation.
We are here simming a Pro Football League of some mystical variety.
They do not let amateurs on pro football fields.
Level 72s can get on the field in this game at the pro level.
They should therefore be able to compete. Even if they wind up not winning most of their games, they should be competitive enough that when they catch another team thats not solidly built and having a bad day they can get a win.
That is how pro football works. Maybe you have never watched a pro football game, but I have in person and on the magic TV box for many years.
Yet in this game that team of well built 72s (or mediocre built 79s) get blown out by dozens to hundreds of points and will lose every game to any team that is not CPU or nearly so.
The last (and only) 200 point loss in the sport at any level was to my old Georgia Tech 80 years ago.
There have only been two 0-16 teams in pro sports in the history of the game.
As I said there will always be a gap between talent that is bigger than the gap in real life. It's just part of the game, in fact an integral part of the game and one that is not going to change. You can either accept it or not. But if you cannot accept it maybe you could at least stop making suggestions about it

What part of "simulation" do you not comprehend?
1. comparing pro teams in glb to the nfl is stupid since pro teams are not even the top of the top.
2. u realize glb has twice as many plays right and also they dont have to worry bout injuries.
3. coaches determine whether a team gets blown out or not most of the time. even a good coach is gunna have trouble competing against a team he has no advantage over talent wise.
u need to stop posting especially when u have no idea what u are talking bout.
like i said u have no experience which is why its hard for u to comprehend simple concepts.
yello take the dream team for example they murdered every team they face. why? they had an advantage in every way possible. from pg-c, coaching, bench, everything. when a team is out matched in every category the end result 9 out of 10 is an ass whooping.
this crusade of urs of making attributes meaningless is stupid

An amateur tournament in a sport that one nation plays professionally and other nations barely know is not even remotely the type of competition one has in a Professional Football Game, which would be the type of game which is the subject of Bort's little simulation in question.
And that said - even the Dream Team doesn't beat teams 255-0......

Plays??????? Not sure of the relevance. Perhaps you mean players?
If so....
But every single league is supposed to be in and of itself a Professional Football League.
Its like Madden. There are millions of little leagues on peoples PCs and consoles around the country. But each and every one of them is generating NFL like games.
GLB is not.
That is a problem, since both are Professional Football Simulations.

reread tpat post again u might learn something
You are not getting the point surprisingly enough.
EVERY SINGLE LEAGUE IN GLB IS SUPPOSED TO BE A PRO FOOTBALL SIMULATION.
Pee Wee I will give a pass to since it makes itself a distinct separate side game.
But GLB as a whole is a Professional Football Simulation.
Thats what is on the "Box".
That is the game everyone playing is paying for. Not just the twenty guys with dots in World League.
Everyone.
So, every league, every game, needs to be a proper simulation of Professional Football.

And my point Tpat is that its not a part of the game. Its a failure in the game.
That it may not be changed is entirely possible.
But until it is, player numbers will continue to plummet - because it ensures imbalance and unfun games and unfun is not a good product to sell.
And that is a shame, because the subject matter of this game is one that could allow GLB to transcend the usual course of most MMOs, meaning if done right it could be around and big business for a very long time.
