Good catch. For the comparison I made, the difference is not important, but I do not like giving out incorrect information, so thanks for the correction.

i guess so, idk. never really be in that situation before. Probably worth it in the long run.

I would.

One other thing tho... Leagues are now based on age, not level. The oldest (and thus highest level) player for any league is always going to be a player made in the offseason. Thus, your players will always be underleveled compared to the competition. The system sucks for people that start / comeback in the middle of the season, but you may want to consider not boosting your players for this season, and retiring - remaking them in the offseason. It will be easier for you to find teams in the long run if you do this. Not suggesting you have to, just suggesting you may want to now before you drop flex on boosting / Custom equipment then wish you had down the road.

So does builds no longer matter? In the old days GMs would look at your build. Plenty of these guys aren't going to have better builds than me. I bought CE for all of my players and can loose on a bit of FP.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4285650 also built this season.

do you really feel like being at that big of a disadvantage every season? my guess is no.

yes youll lose some FP from retiring your guys, but youll lose a shitload more and have a lot less fun if you dont retire and restart.

a buddy of mine is forming a rookie team this off season, if you want, you can join us and i'll help you out. im no elite player but i can help you become a decent dot builder and have you on a team where you'll have some fun.

shoot me a pm if youre interested, ill be away this weekend but ill be back sunday night and we'll talk.

oh and yes builds matter, but when youre 9 levels behind, your build doesnt mean shit. youre at least 45 SPs behind, quite a few ALGs behind and you missed a lot of training time. use this season to learn all you can about building and ill help you out in the off season if youd like.

1 last question....
Wouldn't I eventually close the gap in level when his Xp per game goes down and min is still at the max. I also haven't boosted my players this season and plan to boost in the offseason....

my dot http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4257163
your dot http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4258869

my dot has 25 better SP value and will only continue to increase that #.
and im a pretty shitty dot builder.

circle capping>whatever you think is good

They changed game XP so that it is the same for large periods of time (a season or more). Here is the link to how game XP works now : http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4686077&page=1#42967169

You would close the gap over time, but you would be at least 3 levels behind the majority of players until you hit plateau, when you would be able to finish boosting to 79 and catch up. However, age based leagues pretty much killed non-boosters and partial boosting, so most people boost 3 times every season. Thus, just because you plan to boost does not mean you will catch up.

The choice is up to you, of course. I just wanted to make you aware of it now before you spent anymore on them.

Thanks...Can't believe so much has changed.
Also, Can you guys tell me something...

1) When an SA is penalized...does it mean it doesn't work as well or doesn't fire as often?

It works, but the bonus it gives you is less than normal. I have seen numbers like 10 - 20% penalty / bonus mentioned. I have seen someone say that a penalized SA that is at 10 will work like it is at 9 instead. I do not know the exact penalty, but if the SA is worth having, I would not let the Penalty stop me from spending on it.

A great example is First Step for a Strength based D-Lineman. First Step is easily one of the top 3 SAs for any D-Lineman, regardless of build. Thus, even for a Strength based D-Lineman, I would be willing to take it to 8 or 10 and not think twice about it.

next time you build a peewee dot, look at the training gains at 33 compared to 49.

i dont know why bort made it like this but he did. training gains at 48-49 are greater than the ones in the mid 30s. youre wasting TPs training in the 30s instead of the 50s

3 star enhancement, 4-way train:

33: 73% gain
48: 40% gain

at 49, it costs 2 SP to go up 1
at 33 it costs 1

so training 100% at 49 is the same SP value as training 200% at 33

it is all about SP value
