know a guaranteed way to beat a cpu team? set up a good ST and you'll a td at least a quarter of the time. if you run crappy plays over and over even against a cpu team, it'll fail. this is a no win for glb. competent teams will beat cpu teams by 200 and complain that its too easy, while incompent teams lose or barely win and then bitch that the cpus are too tough. if you want a win, EARN it.

again, what I want to avoid is having an incentive for human owners (in normal, where they can gameplan) to field a CPU team and be BETTER than fielding a non-boosting team as this will be bad long term for everyone

Whether or not true (its likely a tad more complex than that, picking the right CPU archtype for the game plan etc) thats the perception that has to be avoided.

OR Bort could simply tweak the sim to make it work better and satisfy more clients.

I dunno, maybe your piss off half the client base is a better business model. But I have my doubts.
