Can't argue this...I never played four square in my life as a kid that I can remember...

Not trying to say I was some badass, or anything...but I played a shit load of dodgeball, burnout, baseball and football in elementary school...not much basketball, soccer or anything else.

Probably not a real game...something we probably made up. But basically taking a kick ball and having each person stand about 30 yards (probably less since I was in elementary school, but seemed that long while looking back). You basically throw the ball as hard as you can at the other person. If they catch it, they get a point, if they miss it, you get a point. If you miss the person, they get point (but they can't move their feet to dodge the ball, you have to stand in one place). I won a lot, but then I was in a private school back then and I was the only real "athlete" in my grade. IE, I was the only person who played regular organized sports. I basically won any event that constituted throwing a ball...

We played it from about 7-8 yards, and with a baseball. You either catch it or it is gonna leave a nasty mark.

Lies! We had a similar game in "upper" elementary where such a game was probably not a good idea. We only got to play it a couple of times though... seems that after children realize there are athletic differences in their classmates, the sport becomes much more enjoyable to whip the ball at the plump girl who cries rather than play under the actual rules. Good times.

When I was in school that is what we called dodge ball. You get a bunch of kids lined up against a brick wall, and one person stands about 18-20 feet away with a kickball. Then he starts firing it at everyone against the wall. If you caught it you got to be the person who threw at everyone else.

We played that too, but burnout was 1-1
