Awesome write-ups. I can't wait to read about the Shriners free-fall in the standings that is due to start in about 3 hours.

Been swamped at work so these will be a little faster than normal. Might just do them every 2-3 games until time frees up more.
WEEK 4 RANKINGS (R = USPL rookies this season, WL = i'm sure you can figure it out)
WESTERN
1 Monmouth Evil Monkeys (4-0)
Two more wins for the Monkeys as they are quickly gaining ground on cementing a top 4 seed. They dominated the Gryphons and then last week they took down Canton behind a strong 2nd Q that saw them outscore Canton 20-3 to head into the half up 23-3. That proved to be too much for the Bulldogs to overcome and now the Monkeys look set to head into week 9 undefeated when they face the Growl.
2 South Georgia Growl (4-0WL)
With a similar schedule to MEM it's really looking like week 9 will be a huge game that could decide the top seed in the west. Growl is playing lights out ball and after 4 games they've given up 20 points, 17 of which were in week 1.
3 Tulsa Storm (4-0)
Not to be outdone by SGG and MEM, this squad is also tearing through teams with no small thanks going to their #1 ranked passing attack. They should be able to keep pace with MEM and SGG a while longer but will have to wait until weeks 11 & 12 before they have a shot to unseat either team at the top of the rankings.
4 American Terrorists (3-1)
Picking up steam after their week 2 loss to Vancouver and with the schedule looking very manageable for the next few weeks they can start getting separation in the playoff race early.
5 Bay Area Bombers (2-2)
Solid win over the Predators and the defense played very well. Gave up two kickoff TDs so they'll want to shore up their special teams before facing Tulsa, AT and the Lions in the next 3 weeks.
6 Canton Bulldogs (3-1)
Fell behind against MEM and that's never a good situation. Can they do better against the Growl next week.
7 Newfoundland Penguins (3-1)
The Penguins have been in some close contests this season and ended up coming up short 2 weeks ago against the Bulldogs. They went into the 4th down by 3 but failed to stop Canton from scoring 2 TDs to take a commanding lead. Last week they went back and forth against the Knights and got some big plays that secured their win. Eight Balls 80 yd TD run near the end of the first half and then Desmond Humes 100 yd TD return to open the second half gave them just enough of a lead to hold on for the win since the 4th quarter was a defensive battle that saw both teams go scoreless.
8 Vancouver Lions (4-0R)
Didn't expect to see this squad undefeated at this point but with a fairly light schedule they could actually keep this up for a few more weeks.
9 Covington Black Knights (2-2)
A strong defensive showing helped them secure a win over the Jokers but it wasn't enough to get over on the Penguins after a special teams breakdown gave up a 100 yd TD return at the opening of the second half. In a game that saw neither team score in the 4th that breakdown was costly.
10 5th Masterminds (1-3R)
It's been a rough season so far for 5th and if they fall to Vancouver next week it's going to be hard to see them make a playoff push. Good news is the schedule lightens up a bit after the Lions so a win would go a long way towards getting back to .500.
11 North Texas Timberwolves (1-3R)
Back to back shutouts and their 1 win seems so long ago now.
12 American Predators (1-3)
After blowing up on the Raiders this squad quickly came back down to earth last week after a rough offensive day.
13 Sin City Spoilers (1-3R)
The Spoilers finally get win #1 and have a shot at their second win next week but then things get bad again.
14 Stormwind City Gryphons (0-4R)
4 games into this season and still winless. Can they turn things around against the Predators next week?
15 Arkham Asylum Jokers (0-4)
The Jokers just can't seem to get things going their way and after playing Canton and Covington close I thought they might have a shot against Sin City. After 18 minutes they were down 0-17 though so I guess I was wrong.
16 Wisconsin Rapids Red Raiders (0-4R)
While the schedule has been far from easy the Raiders have been far from competitive.
EASTERN
1 South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice (4-0)
With Black Ops taken down after a tough battle this team has a big opportunity next week to cement itself as the #1 seed before the seasons even halfway over. All they have to do is take down ATKM.
2 All The King's Men (4-0WL)
First real test comes up next week when they face the newly minted #1 Mice.
3 Black Ops 7 (3-1)
Had a hell of a battle 2 weeks ago against the Mice as both teams struggled to get in the endzone. Ops failed to capitalize on two 4th Q turnovers though that gave them ample opportunities to get something going but the offense just stuttered.
4 College Station Aggies (4-0)
Not to be forgotten, the Aggies are still undefeated too. Thought about bumping them up but I'm not ready to penalize Black Ops for losing to the Mice that much. The Aggies opponents have won a combined 2 games so not exactly a ringing endorsement either.
5 Atlantic City Affliction (2-2)
Took a huge 4th Q against the Diggers to get the win that was capped by an 80 yd TD pass with just under 2 minutes left. Went on to dominate the Bears to get back to .500 and they should be able to easily take the next 2.
6 Wala Wala Drunken Shriners (3-1)
After squeezing out a win over the Outlaws they were brought back down to size against the Mice. A 7-1 record isn't out of the question though since their upcoming games are fairly easy.
7 Las Vegas Gold Diggers (2-2R)
Imploded against ACA and gave up 20 in the 4th to lose the game by 4. Impressive against Black Ops last week but fell by 18 points. Shot to move up the rankings with Wala up next but after that its the Kings Men.
8 Nashville Hounds (2-2)
Back to .500 largely due to their opponents and next week should be another W.
9 Punxsutawney Groundhogs (2-2)
Back and forth season keeps them at .500 and that pattern should continue with an easy game coming up that's followed by a visit from the Mice.
10 Oakland Suppressors (3-1)
Off to a good start with a 3-1 record but they barely got that win over Denver. Oakland did a nice job moving the ball downfield with 1:41 left in the game but with no timeouts left they ran the ball at the 21 second mark and were damn lucky to just get off the 53 yd FG attempt with 1 second left. I have a feeling all the happiness is going to come to a quick end next week against the Aggies.
11 The Outlaw Assassins (0-4)
I know the schedules been tough but it's not getting any easier for a little while longer. Talents here but it's not translating to wins. This could be the best 0 win team in the conference though.
12 Gulf Coast Crocs (2-2R)
Slowly rising and should get over .500 next week. If they can do that then the week 6 game against Oakland could have big implications down the road if they can make a run at a playoff spot.
13 Denver Giant 9'ers (0-4R)
Been in some games but just not getting it done and their latest loss came off a 53 yd FG they gave up with 1 second left in regulation.
14 Philadelphia SEXY Demonik (0-4R)
There seems to be a clear divide between elite teams, great teams and everyone else. SEXY is clearly falling into everyone else status along with a lot of the lower ranked teams.
15 Chicago Bears 85 (0-4R)
Things need to turn around quickly because right now I see no shot at avoiding demotion for this team.
16 Minnesota Eagles (0-4)
Same story as the Bears.

WEEK 5 RANKINGS (R = USPL rookies this season, WL = i'm sure you can figure it out)
WESTERN
1 Monmouth Evil Monkeys (5-0)
Huge defensive showing today against Covington as the Monkeys gave up a mere 72.5 total yards of offense. The offense was not to be outdone as they held on to the ball for almost 42 minutes in a dominating win.
2 South Georgia Growl (5-0WL)
Gave up an early TD but once this team got going it was unstoppable as they piled up 266 yds rushing, 278 passing yards and held the ball almost 40 minutes. The defense dominated Cantons line and got 13 sacks and 11 hurries proving that this week only one team had any bite.
3 Tulsa Storm (5-0)
Tulsa is still keeping pace with MEM and SGG but how much longer can that last? I say another week at least.
4 American Terrorists (4-1)
AT is doing a great job taking down their opponents but they better not overlook BAB next week since their 3 losses all came against the top 3 undefeated teams.
5 Vancouver Lions (5-0R)
Good teams find ways to win and this young team is really making a name for itself this season with a 5-0 start. While I question the strength of a few of their opponents they have come through against some good teams too. This latest win has to take the cake though as they went into the 4th down 13-24 and managed to pull out the upset by tying the game up with just under 3 minutes left and then hitting the game winning FG with 1 second left in regulation. Great win and while I still think the schedule has been light for them I can't deny that they have been impressive in the way they pull out wins against more seasoned dots. Probably end up dropping later in the season when the schedule toughens up but for now they've earned their spot.
6 Canton Bulldogs (3-2)
Canton has dropped 2 in a row now so they'll look to rebound against the struggling Predators next week.
7 Bay Area Bombers (2-3)
The Bombers might have fared better if they had found a way to bottle their 3rd Q play and spread it throughout the entire 4 quarters. As it stands, they were down 44-0 before they got their first score so there was no way to make up that ground.
8 Newfoundland Penguins (3-2)
Tough game for both teams but an early pick 6 and an offense that failed to get any points until the 4th cost this team in the end.
9 Covington Black Knights (2-3)
Fell flat against the Monkeys and with the Growl up next it could be another painful week.
10 5th Masterminds (1-4R)
The Masterminds were up by 11 points heading into the 4th but couldn't hold on to the lead and close out the game. Things ease up a little now but it's hard to see them making huge strides towards a playoff spot.
11 Sin City Spoilers (2-3R)
With Darren Sproiles leading the charge with an 88 yd TD return to open the game and adding another TD return later in the 1st the Spoilers came through big against North Texas. Is this team starting to surge now?
12 Stormwind City Gryphons (1-4R)
Took an early 1st Q lead and at halftime the game was tied up at 7. The Preds would take a 3 point midway through the 3rd but then the Gryphons came back with a TD of their own shortly afterwards. That's all the Gryphons would need to get the W.
13 American Predators (1-4)
Tough day for the Preds in a back and forth battle with the Gryphons. They closed within 1 with a 4th Q FG but failed to get anywhere else and watched as the Gryphons sealed their fates in the closing minutes of the game with a TD.
14 Arkham Asylum Jokers (1-4)
A win finally and this team sorely needed it. Defense came up big early with a pick 6 and did a great job holding Newfoundland off the scoreboard until the 4th. The celebration will be short lived though with MEM and SGG up the next 2 weeks.
15 North Texas Timberwolves (1-4R)
Another disappointing loss for the Timberwolves as they gave up 28 points in the 1st Q before finally starting to slow down the Spoilers. By then it was too late as their offense could only generate 3 FGs while the defense got their lone TD of the game.
16 Wisconsin Rapids Red Raiders (0-5R)
EASTERN
1 South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice (5-0)
Just took apart all the Kings Men. Scary.
2 All The King's Men (4-1WL)
Can they put the pieces back together again?
3 Black Ops 7 (4-1)
Easy win over Chi-town and the next 2 weeks are cakewalks.
4 College Station Aggies (5-0)
Another dominating performance but I still need to see them play a team ranked above them before making any movement.
5 Atlantic City Affliction (3-2)
Taking advantage of the schedule and should coast through next week before visiting the Aggies.
6 Las Vegas Gold Diggers (3-2R)
Big win that could go far when it comes time to playoff seeding. Defense did a good job in the second half forcing 2 fumbles to stall the Shriners offense and 2 big plays by their HBs led to TDs. Next week could bring this team back to earth though.
7 Wala Wala Drunken Shriners (3-2)
Tough loss for Wala that can be boiled down to 2 2nd Q plays that saw the defense give up TD runs of 75 and 77 yards. That accounted for a huge chunk of the Diggers offense. Good news is that the next 3 weeks should go rather easily.
8 Nashville Hounds (3-2)
The 3 game win streak ends next week.
9 Punxsutawney Groundhogs (3-2)
The O struggled to get in the endzone but luckily the D had no problem leading the way in the 2nd half of the game with 2 pick 6s.
10 Oakland Suppressors (3-2)
The competition stiffened up and Oakland fell flat. This team should be worried about the 2nd half schedule because that's when things really get harder.
11 Gulf Coast Crocs (3-2R)
Made it look easy this week but who hasn't against SEXY. They get bumped a spot but even with 3 wins already I don't think this team makes it to .500 this season with only 1 winless team left on the schedule.
12 The Outlaw Assassins (0-5)
Unlike some of the other winless teams I still think this squad has 5-6 wins in them this season if they can just get it together when they need to. Turnovers really hurt them this time around so they need to cut down on those mistakes.
13 Denver Giant 9'ers (0-5R)
14 Philadelphia SEXY Demonik (0-5R)
15 Chicago Bears 85 (0-5R)
16 Minnesota Eagles (0-5)

Jokers have MEM and GROWL in back-to-back weeks. Talk about pain. We're just hoping we can score points.
