To be honest, this thread is the Aggie/Longhorn one, the other is a discussion on how worthless VY is as an NFL QB. I grant you they do have parallels though

You haven't actually come with any facts; you're picking and choosing half truths and making arguments about a future that has yet to happen. You did better than us one season out of the past 10. You have nothing comparable to our sustained success. Even your greatest period of success was only sustained because of a coach sending cash to recruits. Face it, you have nothing but your bitter envy of big brother Texas, and soon that will be gone from you. You are taking away your sole reason for existing by running away with your tail between your legs and joining a conference that will rape you sideways, and all the time you won't even get to look forward to playing your Superbowl every year.

Aggies when they walk out the door. Only reason they said they want the game to continue is so they can pin it on UT. You do realize our president has publically stated we want to continue the Thanksgiving game. Right? It's Texas threatening to end it. This is not debatable, it's just fact.

I can't understand how going to a better conference to make more money offends you so bad. Texas acted unilaterally by forming their own network. Now A&M is doing what's best for us. Being mad at A&M for leaving the conference is laughable.

Is any of this not factual? Speaking of half-truths and arbitrary timeframes, you keep referring to the past 10 years and ancient history. Comparing teams when they are on an equal playing field in terms of resources and rules seems to be a logical way to do things, but then again that would make you face the fact that "little brother" has been as good as you have over this relevant timeframe.

As for joining the SEC, if we were "running with our tail between our legs," why would we run into the lion's den instead of staying in the continually weakening Little 12? Could it be we are tired of the sips wanting everything for themselves? In the SEC Vandy gets the same cut of the pie as Bama does. This is how every other major conference does things as well. What a shocking development that we would leave a sinking ship for more money, prestige, and exposure!

This is just untrue. Were leaving to go to the best conference in college football, and I assure you A&M still wants to play on Tday. I can't imagine how that makes A&M cowardly. Our SoS will be in the top 5 every season. A&M is making the move for $$$, and because we feel it's in our best interests. Same reasons Texas is starting the LHN.

It's already been proven that due to the nature of each conference's TV contract, A&M will actually lose money by going to the SEC. As for acting unilaterally, we offered to form a joint network with your school and your AD turned down the offer stating that it wouldn't work. Only after UT got 300 million from ESPN and the network started looking like a future success did aggie go ape shit.

Wrong. You only have 7 conference championships and 0 national titles.

You're running to another conference because you are bitter and envious of Texas. As for the money distribution, if A&M is so concerned about fairness, why did they require the 20 million from the smaller big 12 schools that OU and Texas rejected? Because A&M isn't some white knight, and you certainly aren't doing this for fairness. You're going to a stronger conference for less money because you are envious. You are cutting off your nose to spite your face, that's it.
