What exactly has VY done other than lead the league in Head Shrinkage?

Umm, yeah, that's why we went out and got McNabb. A future HOF Qb.

Who is so amazingly past his prime it makes the time the Dolphins signed Culpepper look like a shrewd move.

Two pro bowls. Rookie of the year. Only QB to take an 0-6 team to 6-6. Just saying. Don't confuse a shitty head coach with a shitty QB. VY saved that franchise multiple times and they ran him out of town because of a bitter HC and a racist fan base.

Not sure what you consider dog shit. He's done pretty well so far for learning an entirely new offense from anything he's ever run. Even with the second string offense, he's done better than most first string QBs in the league.

Hahha. I remember as a kid how the Packers hadn't beaten the Vikings in like a dozen games. Pretty much the whole decade of the 70s. Remember Bart Starr as a HC? Or Dan Devine?

Sure I remember that mess. The last 18 years have been a nice ride though.

Seriously?

"ROY" season - 51.5% completion percentage, 146 ypg, 12 TD 13 Int

Going from 0-6 to 6-6? Is that even a stat?

QB rookie seasons:
Brady: 1 GM played, 1/3 for 33.3%, 0 TD, 0 INT
Rodgers: 3 GMs, 56.3%, 0 TD, 1 INT
Roethlisberger: 14 GMs, 66.4%, 17, 11
Ryan: 16 GMs, 61.1%, 16, 11
Brees: 1 GM, 55.6%, 1, 0
Manning: 16 GMs, 56.7%, 26, 28

Looks like he had a similar rookie season to those of some of the best QBs in the league. He also had a higher QB rating prior to his injury than all of them except for Rodgers. Good job proving my point. Very aggie of you.

Btw, taking an 0-6 team to a 6-6 team shows the huge impact he made on that team. The chosen starter by the coach couldn't manage a win on the same team that VY went 8-2 on.

Say what you like but VY is a winner. The whole team plays better when he QB's, and that is an indisputable fact

If he is such a winner, why did he get benched like 3 times in Tennessee and fail to beat out Kerry Collins? Why is it he didn't get a starting gig on another team when he was cut by the "shitty head coach" that happens to be one of the most respected in football? Surely if he is such a winner and All-everything player he would have got a sniff from teams like Washington, Miami, or Cincinnati? It is because he is a head case. What other quality QBs do you know of who go missing and have team officials have the police involved to find him or get pissy and throw their gear in the stands or are constantly dogged by rumblings of their lack of work ethic and immaturity? Combined with the fact he is a moron who scored a 6 on the Wonderlic, and you have an individual who is blessed with a lot of athletic ability, and is wasting it trying to be a QB when he would likely be more effective as a WR.

Taking out the guys who barely played (making those stats irrelevant), I see very little similarity between the stats above and VY's.

Young: 15 GMs, 51.5%, 12, 13

And now look at his outstanding career in which he has won ROY and 2 Pro Bowl selections.

Through 5 years of playing he is averaging.....wait for it.....

150 passing yards a game

Combined with his EXCELLENT 42/42 TD/Int ratio and 57% completion percentage and career QB rating of 75.7 I am sure he could retire now and be a surefire HOFer.

Again

To be fair, he took them from 0-6 to 5-6 before finishing 8-8.

During that span, the defense went from giving up 33 ppg to 20.4 ppg

Chris Johnson went from averaging 102 ypg to 141 ypg

Passing yards only went from 179 ypc to 190 ypc. (If you throw out the Patriots debacle where VY had 0 yds and Collins had -7, Collins was actually averaging 214 to VY's 190).

Looks to me an improved defense and running game played a much more pivotal role than VY stepping in.
