the DPC ruined this game long long ago...

rather than take the effort to reprogram logic so defenses actually stopped what they were obviously made to stop... they decided to just give us 20,000 more variables to work with and knowingly excluded the possibility of ever creating a realistic sim.

This game would be awesome as the chess game of "do I run the cover 2" or "do I run the cover 3" but instead its, should I or should I not move my FS in one spot, move my linebacker up and over to the left one... and ultimately do a bunch of stuff which we couldn't ever actually comprehend all the effects of...

Bring back football and get rid of this nerdy garbage... and you'll have my $$$ again.

Agreed. They couldn't figure how to code it to make it work. And there were some glaring holes. So they opened it up to the users to let them fix it by creating unrealistic defenses. And did this before they ever saw a single dot at full potential

i agree with some of this...i really liked the DPC for putting together some exotic blitzes and overloading one side...unfortunately you are right when you discuss logic, because the reason why this was a fail was that the blocking logic is just god awful...so instead of repairing that, which tbh is probably a lot harder than I imagine it would be seeing as how I dont program computers, removing DPC is the end result, which to me is unfortunate, and probably the end of my time in GLB

So you're saying since you cant exploit the old DPC and create truely unrealistic blitzes that the unrealistic OAI cannot adjust to on the fly you arent going to play at all? I bet you were fun to play with on the play ground!

i wasnt exploiting anything...im going to assume you watch real football, have you ever seen a Safety, and a LB blitz from the same side in order to create protection problems? do yourself a favor and watch the Jets, Rex Ryan is a master of overload blitzes

my point was that it was fun to create these kinds of plays, and GLB was my lone platform of doing so. If they are truly removing the DPC, id rather just play madden, at least i have more control and depth to that game

and i wasnt fun to play w on the playground...i was the kid w my right foot on your head pushing your face in the sandbox ya dork

nothing you said agrees with what stoner was saying...

he was saying that GLB should've never implemented the DPC in the first place because it is impossible to balance so many variables.

They should have either:

A) Created a LOT more base defenses & offensive plays to choose from. This creates more strategy, but confines it a bit (more like madden).
or
B) Created an OPC as well. That way if you couldn't block some uber-blitz, it was your fault, not BORT's.
