Some whataburgers in Alabama also. Biggest reason we go is they remind my wife of her childhood in Texas. She says she remembers them being much better than they are now. But we still go to them once in a while.

Bunch of Whataburger's in Arizona too, though now most of them are just the dull franchise-in-a-box variety vs. the cool/unique few they had in Phoenix "back in the day" (growing up in the '80s).

Whatever happened to Bob's Big Boy? They had one (maybe more, dunno) of those here in Phoenix when I was a kid, but haven't seen one in at least a decade. Can't remember if the food was any good, but always loved the giant statue of Bob out front. Think I saw one in California a while back, but it too looked like it'd been scaled down to a franchise-in-a-box, with the statue of Bob scaled way down.

my ex used to make the ultimate fail burgers. fried the meat in oil like u would with chicken. i used to be so hungry and still eat that shit. ugh!

We've got Whataburger, Beck's Prime, Carl's Jr [as of last month], Smashburger, Prince's [local to Houston but good]. In and Out allegedly to open in a month or two.

I had smash burger for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It's pretty good, but not the best burger I've had.

All the talk about great lunch and no mention of HOOTERS. Not sure what exact name of it is but it's a steak on bread with cheese. Eye candy serving ya in the process only helps make it that much better.

A Twin Peaks just opened across the highway from a Hooters in my area. The Twin Peaks is packed and Hooters seems to be hurting for business these days.
