Its pretty clear they moved the "team name" to Oceania for one reason... quick trip to the WL. Again, I see nothing wrong with doing that... just dont feel that makes them Oceania or least a team to be considered as one of Oceania's greats.

Maybe I am missing something else but they are generally the first team brought up when discussing how the WL has helped to improve the competition of Pro leagues. Had the WL not been created they would have never left USAPL as USAPL would have continued to be the games "WL".

I'm not so sure about that, tbh.

They didn't dominate their first, and only, season in OPL. And in fact, I'm not entirely sure they expected to make WL that season.

But, your point stands. They had one season in OPro, and that was that.

I would call that pretty dominant (especially if their team was not completely mature). They may not have expected to make WL but I am sure they expected to have just as good of a shot at doing so as any other of the top teams in the league. Also, I am sure they expected to be challenged as little as they were that season.

Just saying... there is only one reason they left USA. Lets be honest the quality of OPL had reached bottom for awhile there until it recent strong rebound over the past few seasons. I would argue it was the easiest route to the WL for awhile (now its one of the more challenging routes).

Looks like they were Oceania from at least S9

Interesting. Is that a different team that the one that used to be in USAPL with the same name? O_o

iirc... that was their farm team or something of that nature... in other words they moved the players and the name (or maybe just the name) but not the team at a later date.

ETA: ok I just looked... the Oceania version became the Groupies season 12 (spent 3 seasons as the Groupies in Oceania... post implementation of WL)

Aahh! This makes sense now.

You aren't the only one, believe me.

To me, IC's biggest rivals back then were Rawle Tech, the Gods, and the 'Nites.
Had I stuck around longer back then I probably would have formed a more lasting rivalry with several others like MTD, the Heat, Vanuatu, Mata Utu, etc.

How about we honor the teams who have helped pull us from lolOPL like Indy and SoCal, they are clearly representing us best!

Who was the owner of Rawle Tech? I'm guessing he is a goat lover.
