Additionally, there is absolutely zero doubt that we could have recruited two full rosters. We've done it for a few seasons now, with p much the same GM crew running the show. Would we be as good as the merged team? Highly unlikely, but we would compete at a high level, regardless.

The whole point of our merge was simply to consolidate what we had, and decrease the time required to play this game. When the same people work with multiple high-tier teams, you're splitting your concentration and focus, and it tends to show at critical times.

Maybe "getting it done" is winning 3 games in the WL. If so, you're a stud, man.

If (and that's a big if) Arkadak makes it, it will be because of several independent agents who have great builds, and the work of 3 people. Not some big network helping recruit and supplying players, but 3 people who have been doing all the recruiting, coordinating, financial management, build advice, etc. for 2 teams.

I don't see how it's that big a deal how those 3 people came together.

If you can understand it, then why did you start the thread?

Why did you feel it necessary to make the first part of the statement?

Would it have made you feel better if Rhodesia disbanded and a few agents brought players from Rhodesia to Arkadak because those agents had ties with Arkadak and the GMs there, but Arkadak didn't change the name of the mascot?

You act like we are trying to bring in some super stacked team. If we were trying to do that, Mighty Beast, Dirty Deeds, and Sunday Bloody Sunday would all be on the team.

2 of our 4 DTs are going to start the season under level 60 and won't hit 64 this season. We have several season 7 and 8 players on the team.

I think you are just pissed because of a number next to average player value, which doesn't tell the entire story like a huge lack of VAs due to the young age of several players.

You are wrong. I just have never liked mergers.....I guess if I had to think of a concrete reason I really dont know.....I'm just a traditionalist i guess.

Oh, and outside of VA's some of those season 7/8 dots are monsters

You can really tell when people started "figuring it out" as far as building.

Recruiting has been tough for the last few seasons and I think it will be tough for another season or so and then I think it gets a lot easier....

I just think a lot of season 5-7 dots retired.

I guarantee there isn't a DT on the team as good as Mighty Beast and I could have brought him in if I wanted to. When I sent him to Chicago, they were USA Pro and I only did it because I like Wise. It wasn't part of any bargaining agreement. I could have also brought in Sunday Bloody Sunday who is better than at least 3 of our current DTs. Dirty Deeds is more of a specific role player, but I doubt many DCs here would like game planning for a FB who was running routes with an effective speed over 145 and effective agility over 100. He could have also served as our return man to replace our KR/PR who is in decline.

The roster isn't as stacked as you may think.

I'm not doubting you, but why did you chose to only point out Arkadak? Hell Portland and the Hood merged and those teams are part of one of (if not the) biggest networks in the game.

Umm - those all came in this thread. What was the title of the thread? Oh yeah, Arkadak Ratels. Why wasn't it Ratels and Hood? Or Arkadak and Portland?

BTW - he basically said the same thing we have been saying in a more concise way. We merged so that we would have less work to do and would enjoy the game more. You act like we were trying to hide the merger. If we were doing that, the team name wouldn't have changed. I think that would be a big tip off that we were acknowledging a merger.
