So you haven't updated through any playoff games? because a bunch of those silver teams in the top 20 have been put out of the playoffs by lesser teams in the rankings.

The same thing happens every season. A lot of Silver teams try to make noise and everyone thinks they are the bomb. Then, playoffs come and they get upset. The bubble bursts. I am not obsessing over it. Just like the BCS, it is based on 1 set of data and very subjective.
That said, it is a very good ranking. It seems fairly accurate (90% or so).

Several times, I've seen some posts saying 'these are some teams to watch' etc, but I don't remember seeing anyone stroking their own rod as you suggest. Everyone knows that Gold is the elite league.
Is it because you aren't getting the recognition you feel you deserve? How about this, 'Have you guys seen DSBM play? Their OC must live, eat and breath GLB. It seems like whenever the Baby Makers are down his O just takes control of the game and gets them the win.'

...every season sees a changing of the game, and we have all been hard pressed to develop team structures that work in a constantly changing environment ...Bort keeps moving the goalposts! ...Silver league teams are only required to gameplan for a handful of games ...Gold league teams don't have that luxury! ...Revolver used it's tourneys just to get it's AIs ready for each gold league game! ...the better Silver teams get many games during the season to experiment on their tactics, test out the sims, etc, where there is no real threat of getting beaten ...Silver league teams have the luxury of some 'breathing space' before the more important games(tourneys being the more important ones). Every game is a challenge for gold teams! ...Sure, gold league teams get to test themselves at the highest level for almost all of their games, but some of us have a life outside of GLB! ...We don't (or choose not to) always have the time to plan for every game! ...so all BS aside ...get to the gold league, then have your say about how good yas think yas are! ...no1 can deny yas if yas can keep producing the goods game after game as a gold league team! ...but the true test is staying on top in the gold league! ...win the gold championship and you have the best team in peewee!

Perhaps, but there's one way to find out -- get to Gold and see what happens. I don't even think you read what I posted. It's the same thing ManOgwar posted above and that others post. Gold is a beating trying to game plan for every game. You really don't get an off game. Want to know how tough it is? Take a look at this.
Defending Gold Champs Tombstone Outlaws is again playing for their conference championship. They had 2 losses on the season, one to the 12th place Agency -- yes, a non playoff team.
Their opponent, the might Goats who finished 6th during the season and had 2 losses to non-playoff teams -- the NOPWS and the Baltimore Gulls (finished 10th and 11th respectively).
On the other side, you have the undefeated SBWL vs. 6th place Crackertown. The Fighting Crackers have losses to 5 playoff teams and 1 non-playoff team -- our DSBM (finished 10th) in their next to the last game of the season.
That alone shows you the depth of Gold and the fact that you cannot take a game off. Being successful in Gold will simply consume you if you're an active coach/coordinator/scout. So, to sit there and see rankings showing a playoff Gold team ranked 50th, well, it's just absurd if anyone actually believes that's the 50th ranked team.
Now, go win your way to Gold so we can haze you properly next season.

I enjoy the rankings and appreciate the work that goes into them, but yeah, they're a little off.
atleast, i hope. The Cascade surlyGoats are in the final four of the gold league playoffs. Even if we lose today to the defending champions, are we really ranked 42nd.
Granted we do not attempt to win our preseason games and didn't play any tourneys this season as it was our debut in gold.juiceweezel is right about the level of comptition in gold. i believe one more win and we could of been the second or third seed. one more loss and we weren't even in the playoffs.
I am not at all bothered by the rankings either, i just feel my coaches and agents are better than 42nd.
