And it might be easier to actually use the SOS as your modifier instead of the 50, you could actually take one calculation off by combining them.
For example instead of 50w plus SOS later. Just take the 50 out and put SOSw there.

If a team is 0-16 it's zero for that win. If a team is .500, a win counts half as much, if a team is 12-4 the win is worth 50% more than the team with the .500 record.

Ok, but I still have to use a multiplyer along with the SOS, either still 50 or something else. Unless you're saying to multiply the number of wins by the combined win % of all the teams a team has played against, which is what I think you're saying.
