Should be a good game. It again goes to show how tough Gold is. SBWL lost 2 games including one to us. We lost in the second round soundly (to a team we had beaten earlier). There is no game off in Gold -- unless you play tournaments.

We wouldnt of lost the 2nd game against you guys

LOL You just don't get it. Yeah, DSBM lost the ONLY tournament game we played this year. Know why we even played that game? LE needed another team for the tourney to make. He asked me if we would play, and I said gladly. Do you know what I did for the OAI? I loaded basically every single pass play in the playbook for the formations I wanted to see. Yes, I used it as a practice game. I didn't care what the outcome was. Did it help us? I'd say so. We had a great season in Gold and had 3 pass catchers in the top 10 receiving for the season. So, did we get beat by Chicago? Absolutely. Did it mean anything and was it a reflection on how good either team really is? Not a chance.

If Chicago wins their next game, they'll get a chance to prove themselves where it really matters. DSBM was one of the 8 best teams in Gold. We are one of only 2 teams to have a victory over SBWL's who are playing in the championship. Bring your ass to Gold, and we'll be happy to hand it to you when it counts. Until then, crawl back into your hole and shut the hell up.

\excuses, tbh nothing is funnier than seeing you justify your loss to a (OMG) Silver team.

What you don't get is that your arrogance because you made it to Gold seems to give you this sense of entitlement to talk shit about Silver teams. I for one resent that and when one attempts to belittle the quality of us who have not made it yet to Gold, especially knowing how much time, thought and money some of us shell out (in Silver). So think about that before you sound off.

Totally. I can name 5 teams in Gold this season that most copper teams would beat.

Tbqh the promotion system is flawed in lolpeewee.

The main idea behind peewee was that rosters reset every single season so that in any given year a bad team can turn into a good team and vice versa. Although some teams are consistently at the top, it's very hard to judge a team based upon its prior seasons because of this. MGeezy, you're in gold because you had a good last season, that is Season 13. I just don't think it's fair of us to automatically assume that the best team is in gold, when we must remember that so much can change in peewee on a year-to-year basis.

that is true its just the teams that are consistently top teams in peewee are in gold, and I would wager on either of the two teams competing for the gold in gold to beat any silver team

I agree that it only takes one good season in Silver to reach Gold. But the teams that stay in Gold season after season are proving themselves as the top tier teams.

Yes there are a lot of factors that contribute to a good team, but the owners/coaches of Gold teams generally know most of those and are building and running their teams around those factors each season. A lot of Silver teams do the same and just catch an unlucky break at some point in the playoffs that keep them from Gold. Silver teams like Final Thought, Maine Grenadiers, Who Touched My Pee-Wee, Springfield Test Dummies, and San Antonio Saviours(just to name a few) are Gold level teams that just can't seem to win a championship in Silver and get promoted, but have been very successful in Silver for several seasons and thus know what it takes to win season after season.

You see a lot of one and done Silver teams. Teams that got hot in their 1st season in Silver and either can't repeat their success in Silver the next year, or get totally stomped in Gold. Happens a lot.

Bring back the old system imo!

I've always wanted that due to what I said 4 posts up, the new promotion system should be scrapped.

If we bring back the old league systems, we can have better rivalries and every team will have a fair shot at the "Best In Peewee Title" each season, as it should be.

Proposal:
Day 1-21 Peewee Regular Season
Day 22-30 Peewee League Playoffs
Day 30-41 Huge Invitational Peewee Tournament (Mandatory if invited, but free of charge)

Regular Season Champions get an automatic bid to the tournament and the rest are at large bids chosen by a selection committee.

This allows any given team on any given year to be the Champion of peewee.

So your organizing this as a similar to March Madness Tourney thing? You've got 8 automatic bids, and probably about 16-24 at large bids. Maybe Bort could even program something to show if your team is "on the bubble" during the regular season to show your key wins/losses. Maybe the selection committee idea could be played in somewhere.

There's gonna be more than 8 leagues.

We're talking ALL of peewee together so probably more like 18-20 leagues. There used to be 25 didn't there?

I'd say 20 automatics and 44 at-large bids.

Forgot about Copper. But yeah, I'd say At-Larges would start with Silver Runner-ups, Silver CC Losers with best record, Silver 14-2's/13-3s, then Copper Runner-ups, etc.
