I think anyone who knows the game would agree to this. However, you don't win a SEAPL sack title and 2nd in Def MVP voting with a poor build. It has to be very good, and then a DC can make you great if used properly - especially with glitch blitzes and stuff.

OT is a different story. They are pretty much on their own against a DE 90% of the time and OCs can't do much about that if they are getting abused. Running more often will help some pancake numbers a bit, but if you aren't getting any pancakes with low rushing totals, you aren't getting any with high rushing totals either. A better stat would be pancakes on % of plays instead of total pancakes. Even better yet would be pancake % vs playoff teams or % of plays with a sack allowed vs playoff teams and OT would be near the top in both categories during the prime of her career (which obviously wasn't last season - she's dead now). She was nearly unstoppable in CPL and World League for 7-8 seasons though and dominated here even in decline 2 seasons ago.

I agree with half of what you said Tony. I think almost any DE can be made in to a star, the build is not rocket science.

I do agree with what you said about OT's, more so Left OT's. Good ones are rare. You also can't "scheme" to cover up offensive linemen.
