Yeah, your idea of "getting torched" differs from just about everyone. How was the safety "faked out" as you put it in the play? If you are going to question my credentials, which is kind of funny, then what credentials do you have? Your guy plays in US Pro? Awesome, a safety I retired used to play in Canadian Pro so I must have done something right. I am not going to get out the ruler with you however you have spit out numbers like 74/68/68 quite often... when are those numbers to be achieved? You mentioned the new players, well, give them more feedback than simply putting down 74/68/68. What do those numbers mean? When should they be reached? Why? How? TIA & HTHI'll let everyone else decide on whether my idea of getting torched differs from theirs, but if you actually think that
A. Your safety didn't get faked here:

B. A safety with more speed/vision doesn't routinely make that play
then I have no idea what to do for you, because we are obviously living in different realities.
I actually have never spit out the numbers 74/68/68--others have, and I would agree that that's the absolute minimum for a new safety today, but if I was slowbuilding a SS from scratch, this would be my training plan, assuming all the basic slowbuilding things like training to 95%+:
1. Roll a Max Height/Min Height safety with 25 speed on day 41.
2. Train speed on normal with shopping tokens. Cap at 49.
3. Intense train agility/vision while 61-capping speed.
4. Intense train agility/vision while 68-capping speed.
5. Intense train agility/vision while 74-capping speed.
6. Intense train agility/tackling while 49-capping vision.
7. Intense train agility/vision while 77-capping speed.
8. Intense train agility/tackling while 61-capping vision.
9. Intense train agility/tackling while 68-capping vision.
10. Intense train agility/tackling while 74-capping vision.
11. Intense train strength/tackling while 49-capping agility.
12. Intense train strength/tackling while 60-capping agility.
13. Intense train strength/tackling while 68-capping agility.
14. Intense train strength/jumping while 49-capping tackling.
15. Intense train strength/jumping while 60-capping tackling.
16. Intense train jumping/catching while 48-capping strength.
At this point, work on SAs (Super Vision and Change Direction), and capping stamina, confidence, and jumping in whatever order you want, because the differences in SP value are minimal anyway.
