HB Screen Right 28 517 18.46
HB Screen 19 155 8.16
HB Screen Right 15 45 3
HB Screen 4 129 32.25
HB Screen Strong 4 28 7
FB Cross Screen 1 0.5 0.5

Those are the screens plays run against you in all of your losses last year. You had 12 losses, so a screen pass was used against you 6.4 times a game. Your opponents ran a screen play 71 times in 811 plays. That's a 9% rate.

I understand many people have a strong desire to simply run out their players and just toss a coin on every play and see who wins. But game planning is a strong incentive to participate in this game. It's the part of the game I really enjoy. If a team was really running the same play 50 times a game wouldn't it be easy to stop them with some smart defensive game planning? It's the well balanced teams that pose the greatest challenge. Running the screen pass 6.4 times a game seems pretty balanced to me.

Now, I imagine you'll take my post as some kind of personal attack on you. That's not what this is. I'm just trying to understand if the higher levels of play really are that messed up. I want to have fun, not spend the season bitching about exploits. It would be quite a let down after 4 seasons getting to this point.

EDIT: Those stats are from Stalingrad. I'm not sure what team mike2686 has a stake in.

I am just babbling honestly. I wasn't talking about just Screen passes though. I was basically just stating the big exploits used last season. There are others as well. But I know several owners and GMs in the WL. So I of course kept up with them. But I was simply stating that the in the WL that alot of team use exploits as much as they can.

I don't think he was referring to his losses. Go watch the playoff games. Hell one team did it like 99% of the time in a first round upset.

Exactly, we were both saying "in general".
