I posted the regulation rules as I originally had them when I posted the idea of Pee Wee Pro in the first place.

Promotion rules:

Bottom 8 Gold teams AND any teams that go CPU shall be dropped to Silver (or Copper in the case of CPU teams). Gold shall be filled by taking the non CPU winners from each league. If any additional positions remain unfilled they shall be pulled at random from all non-CPU Conference Finalists. If there are still positions to be filled, they shall go at random to the conference semi-finalists.

This may not always bring in the best teams, but it does make sure that harder leagues aren't punished. Since a vote every season could become a popularity contest, and scrimmage matches can't be used, this is the fairest system I could think of.

It might be useful to consider lifetime winning percentage of the current owner with his team. I say that because the liklihood of team averaging 16+ wins a season for a sustained period of time being a good fit for Gold, is quite high. Rewards sustained excellence.

My squad is 47-1 in league over the 3 seasons I've owned them and yet sadly no gold trophies... we suck in the playoffs.

You got us beat...barely, 46-2 here. One loss has an astericks though because one opposition boosted 12 players the day of the first game of the season, which is pretty bush league imo.

I've scanned most of this thread, but not every post. I'll summarize a few points below. I'm not saying Strain shouldn't be in, but it is what it is.

One, sometimes life sucks. Deal with it.

Two, the old League 10 dealt with this last season. One got in, and 4 or more could have and competed just fine. Neither DI nor DSBM made the conference finals last year (if I remember correctly) and finished this season as top teams in Silver. We could've both competed in Gold this season. Some teams improve each season. There is nothing to make me believe either MMD or Gamecocks won't be able to compete next season.

Three, the simple thing would've been to win the league -- no excuses and no doubt about who's in gold.

Four, careful what you wish for. You're asking for sustained excellence yet you don't want to penalize those in a tougher conference. Sometimes teams have that perfect/great record because they play in an easy conference. Some, not so much. Be careful what you wish for. DTMCF went undefeated until the playoffs in L10 last season and has won a league championship before. That's a good resume. They were down this season, but again, there's no guarantee from one season to the next.

The way I see it is the Strain has 2 options. Keep bitching or win next season. You're the early favorite and it will be a disappointment if you don't come out with a ticket to Gold.

Straight up Juice. Simple, you win and your in. If you really want to be in there, you need to try your best every game, wether it's a CPU owned team, or the leagues best team. And this has been said many times, but you can lose any given day in Pee-Wee and that's what makes watching every game great. More times that not, you'll have an underdog winning. Or a league champ struggling with a bad team. The playing field is even, you've got experience and players, now you should win a championship.

I didn't know we were the early favorites in Pee Wee Gold, nice to know people believe in us

The playing field isn't quite even since league parity can differ from league to league because there are a large number of pee wee teams. The way the process for the promotions considers every league equal is wrong and teams will get shafted for being in a more competitive league. Allowing this to just continue despite knowing its wrong is the crime, which is what we are arguing for all teams involved to receive an equal chance at promotion instead.

Hey man, I played in Silver 4 last year. That was pure hell. You went from Sacramento Vikings to Dyslexic, I broke a computer every game. All the agony of dropped passes and what not, well long story short, sold the team to a good friend and we'll be doing testing.
