I'd be surprised if the Benitos ever faced a recruiting disadvantage to USAPL. It's certainly easier to recruit to USAPL than SAPL, but the level of players they're recruiting have been around long enough to know who the Benitos are. With scrimmages and tournaments in recent years, there's a lot of incentive to go to a GLB-top team, regardless of region.

As of today, I'd agree. My guess would be that they'd be about even in drawing power, maybe even have a little most than some of the top USAP teams...but how about before all of the tourneys? Up until then, I'd have to respectfully disagree. I'd say it's only been the past couple of ssns where the tourneys have really gained enough notoriety to be an equalizer. That would have put them at a recruiting disadvantage for 6ish ssns.

Edit: I could easily be wrong on that....just a somewhat educated guess/opinion

It'd put them at a recruiting disadvantage for 6ish seasons, but before tournaments we could only really gauge them against their region, which they had a huge advantage in. Great team, and I really don't pay enough attention to be an authority on where they stand, just playing devil's advocate.

Having never watched a Benito game, I just assumed they had dominate players. Now I am intrigued to get a matchup between ***O*** and the Benitos. Hopefully it finally happens this season. I am sure Hulk will let me play with ***O*** one more time
